Déferlement, Merwan
Piratekin + Merwan Obikin Art
Several weeks ago, I was hit with this Piratekin and Merwan Obikin idea. The idea wouldn't leave me alone, so I reached out to @kana7o to bring my visions to life, and she did an amazing job!
The first art shows their first meeting, where Captain Anakin Seawalker takes over Palpatine's ship (and makes him walk the plank to feed him to gigantic piranhas) and meets a captive merman prince -- Prince Obi-Wan of Stewjon Kingdom. They fall in love at first sight. Anakin reluctantly frees him, but to his delight, Obi-Wan stays near his side.
The second art showcases them adventuring the Seven Seas. I seriously could not get rid of the cheesy Harlequin romance novel cover out of my head, so I also requested Kana to draw this. Needless to say, I'm very happy by this piece.
It has been one year since I started commissioning art with Kana, so these two pieces mean a lot to me. Hope you all like this!

BANG
Aster of Pan #4 L/A/W: Merwan
August: Reading Summary
Holy shit, August was a busy reading month. I had to count Obsidio since I technically finished in August, but I listened to the majority of it in July. A few of these were ARCs that I was given through NetGalley, so not only did I increase my reading, but I’ve also increased the number of ARCs I’ve been given in a month. I’m pretty excited about that because I didn’t think I would ever get ARCs. The Fat-A-Thon really helped boost my numbers up this month, and I’m excited that I got six books read for that challenge in a week. There were a few duds this month, but for the most part, I really enjoyed what I read for August.
The only book I have scheduled to read for September is Darkdawn. I ordered the Fae Crate hangover box for it, and that’s when I realized that I actually won’t get the book when it comes out, so that will be my goal this week come Tuesday. I may reread Nevernight and Godsgrave first so I can familiarize myself with the characters again. There’s also the Contemporary-A-Thon that I’ll probably do as well since the bestest loaned me books for that. “YOU MUST READ THESE.” And who am I to argue?
Also, I’ve gone over my 50 books to read in the year by 11 so far. Overachiever, what?
