YESSSSSSSS I love the idea of merbeau (octobeau?) camouflaging against a wall to ambush the reader, maybe even against the very wall that Grisham plans to back them against. He pushes them closer and closer to the rocks when suddenly the rocks close around them with a vice grip and Grisham laughs about how naive you've been. I love it when the two of them work together way too much sskdjfhksdjfhk <3
Also I need you to know that I went on an entire tangent about what lionfish and octopi both eat, and actually started designing mermaids based on those fish skjdfhksjhdfkjshkdj
The conclusion drawn is reader would either be a damselfish or a fairywrasse because both of those names are far too fitting and I laughed very hard about it (plus they're both very pretty!)
