At the time, it felt kind of incredible. While I failed to get enough support on Deviantart, the hits on my website kept piling up. It showed that people actually cared about me and my work and that making a website of my own was a good idea. 5 years later, that number has already reached over 256,600 hits. It's amazing how the website managed to grow so much in only half a decade.

I think of this space as a workroom. I'd spend each day working hard before taking a break to play video games. (At the time I drew this, I'd always play Wii and GameCube games) These days, however, I mostly save one hour in the afternoon to play so I can focus on getting more work done. Now that the new year has arrived, I'm making it one of my New Year's resolutions to improve my efficiency. I want my life to be better than it was last year.

The July poll asked visitors what new things they'd like to see added to the website. Unfortunately, the poll proved to be a complete failure, as only 2 people voted. Despite this, out of all the things to add to MEOWCO, both voters said they wanted new comics for Pokémon Pocket Web Comics.

In all honesty, I've neglected Pokémon Pocket Web Comics for a long time. The last one I made was in 2024. I've had ideas for new comics, but I never got around to them, mostly because of school.

The classes kept getting harder and harder, and the coursework kept piling up. Every week, I was under a strict deadline to finish each assignment. I had no time for things like art. And even when I did, it was only to make new artwork for MEOWCO. That's especially true for Pokémon Pocket Web Comics.

I want to draw more comics with my Pokémon characters, but I feel like I need to practice drawing them more. Miraidon is the toughest out of all of them to draw. As a main character, I want to include him in a lot of comics, but I feel like I can never get him to look right. I just don't have enough experience drawing Miraidon to include him in any Pokémon fan art I draw. That's also the reason why I haven't made a graphic for the Champions Stadium in the Pokémon Power Web Stadium, since it requires Miraidon.

Apart from drawing Pokémon right, I also have a problem with the comic's tone. It feels a little too safe at times and lacks much slapstick or writing that could make adults laugh. It just doesn't have the same edge or reach as other comedy comics and ends up not catering to people past their middle school years. I need to change that.

Another part of the writing I want to focus on is the webcomic's parodic nature of the Pokémon franchise. I've only touched on certain things from the games (gameplay, items, story, etc.), but I want to go further and take jabs at more Pokémon-related things. I especially want to mock the Pokémon fanbase and people who hate on Pokémon. It'll be a good way to show what I think about topics like this in a fun, bite-sized way.

I'll start working on Pokémon Pocket Web Comics later next week. After what I'll do for MEOWCO tomorrow, the webcomic page should go through a major overhaul to make it more stylish. I'm aiming for at least 1-4 comics every month to keep people interested after it makes a comeback.

A new poll has been added to the website. This poll deals with the types of video game platforms people are interested in. Check it out on MEOWCO.

Last year, I drew a small art piece to celebrate Independence Day. I didn't have any specific characters in mind for the artwork, so I created a new one. A horse cowboy from the United States.

Outside of another art piece I made for MEOWCO, I had never drawn this character all that much. This Independence Day marked 250 years since America gained freedom from Britain. Considering this is a once-in-a-lifetime milestone, I had to draw something to honor it.

I originally wanted to draw a horizontal piece with the character in a canyon. But due to various issues, I didn't have enough time for it. So I made a vertical piece with a patterned background. I also gave the character a cocky pose instead of an action pose to fit the mood of the new artwork.

The art took a day and a half to finish, and I had to work up until midnight and through multiple power outages to finish before 6 PM on Independence Day. It was honestly a miracle that I was able to complete the artwork on time. It was almost like everyone around me was preventing me from getting any work done. I never want to feel that way again.

The character doesn't really have a name yet. I have one name in mind for him, but I'm not sure if it's good enough. You'll see more of him soon.

The poll for June was all about the kind of jobs people would want.

It seemed like there were some people who wanted to work in fields where they could study and document what matters to them. Most of the votes, however, showed that people wanted jobs they felt happy doing, no matter what that job might be. Even if the main point to take from that might be to aim for a job that keeps you at ease, the comments paint a different picture.

As someone who has been rejected from 2 companies, I can kind of see where these voters are coming from.

I've been working on this since yesterday. Whenever I draw Angus or the other MEOWCO characters, I always try to draw them using certain art pieces I've made as a reference. Most of the characters don't have any proper references. And even if they do, they're too old and outdated. That's why I'm trying to draw new ones for them.

Right now, I'm trying to finish Angus' model sheet. But due to personal matters, I've been having problems finishing it. After I'm done with Angus' model sheet, I'll create one for another character that I'll need to draw for a special Independence Day art piece.

As always, the time has come to review the latest poll. This time, the poll asked which weather you preferred. I thought more people would have picked warmer weather, but it seems like people are more okay with colder weather. In the end, it was shown that there was a greater preference for moderate weather with the right amount of heat and cool winds.

This is kind of what the weather has become like where I live. It's hot, but the winds are plentiful enough to cool you down, creating a temperate climate that doesn't bother the senses all that much. It's the perfect spring weather. Sadly, it won't last much longer before the summer season comes in and messes up the climate like it did a few years ago.
