Class 30: In which I can't think of an interesting title
So I thought today's class was going to be with S, but it was with a new instructor (we'll call her SII), who I really liked. Honestly, I don't know why I use abbreviations anymore because any potential stalker could figure out where I practice pretty easily at this point, but whatever.
It was hard. Hardest class in a while probably. But we also spent a lot of time doing new things and things that I could really see my improvement in. We did crow three separate times, and I held it pretty well the whole time. I started work on a tripod headstand, which is soon to be my new favorite asana, I'm sure. I'm steadily getting better at plow and shoulderstand.
The only thing about today was that my muscles were oddly tired, more than usual. My knees were okay, but my right hip was doing some weird stuff. And I think I may have mildly sprained my wrist in an arm balance. It's kinda sore as I type.
It's weird, I feel like I haven't had as much to say about class lately. I feel like I'm in the middle of something. I'm not a beginner anymore, but I'm not pushing. I dunno. It's like... my experience with tripod today. I can get my legs up on my arms, but they just wont go straight. I can't make myself try hard enough. My mind is stuck in a mental roadblock. I need to try harder to push past that.
That's gonna be my goal for the next couple classes, to push. To not give up so easily. Be stronger, align better, CARE more.
Yoga at mom's studio tonight. Maybe a change of scenery will help.
