Excitement, Gratitude, and Apologies
I'm so excited that we are going to start the fun tonight. Donnie Joe's in Millington, if you hadn't heard.
I am thankful for everyone who is coming and who has helped out...which is everyone. Because I really didn't do much but answer the call to, Hey, when's the next Memphis meet-up. And my answer was...lets do it when I'm out of school. A few of the locals thought this was a great date, and it became so.
Another thing I am thankful for, which when people said...lets have a meet-up in Memphis in August....I was wondering what are we doing?..because it is usually feels like 130 degree temperature (no joke...not a one). So it is only supposed to be in the 90s and feel like low 100s, most of y'all are coming from right around the area, so I'm not tell you anything you don't already know.
I'm in school and I have such a lack of time, I have maybe 7 free weekends through the year, so I can rarely get away. (Why I thought taking nursing classes over the weekends was a good idea, I will NEVER figure out.) But because of this, I'm getting to see all of you! Still excited!!
I did not do much for this. I love organizing things like this, but school came before this, so actually everyone else put more effort into this. That I am thankful for. Especially if you are traveling here. I know how much effort it takes to get some place...thank you, because you are what is going to make this weekend rock, well, and us locals too. All of us.
I do apologize for picking my finals weekend to do this. I have always been in a situation at every final I have ever taken, that I could not even show up and I would still pass the class. So I figured I would have plenty of time through the last couple weeks to devote to things. Ummm...that's not how things worked, but I did pass. So it's time to go celebrate!
