Know where'd I put that memory eraser?

Ah! There it is!

So I just found out that I had a really intense coping mechanism as a child. So, apparently, if you were mean to me as a child, I purposefully forgot everything about you. Name, appearance, preferences, gender. You became a non-entity to me. I found this out bc my sister, mom and I were all going through some photo albums, and there was this woman in them who's apparently married to one of my mom's cousins. I knew her kids, I knew her husband, I remembered the dog and cat they had when I was a kid, but, despite her being married into the family longer than I have been alive, I have absolutely no memory of her. And then. Mom tells me that this woman was ridiculously mean to me once over a misunderstanding, and I'm talking like, mom stopped what she was doing, picked me up, and took us home after telling this woman she was no longer welcome near us, kinda mean.

Upon learning this, I said that it made sense I didn't remember her, then, because I purposefully delete mean people from my memory. And this is apparently both hardcore and probably not a good thing lmao.
