a  big  city  lawyer  reunites  with  and  old  flame  as  they  return  home  to  help  out  at  their  family’s  failing  business.

a  career  oriented  chef  runs  into  a  single  parent  and  their  child  on  their  way  to  a  blind  date.

a  down  on  their  luck  writer  inherits  a  home  from  an  unknown  relative  where  they  meet  a  dog,  then  the  dog’s  hot  owner — who  just  happens  to  be  their  neighbor.

a  happy-go-lucky  baker  enters  the  town's  baking  contest  for  some  good  fun,  but  ends  up  going  toe  to  toe  with  their  ruthless  competitor  who  really  really  needs  the  prize  money.

an  enthusiastic  corporate  employee  who  is  with  the  wrong  person  meets  a  skeptic  to  love  as  the  former  tries  to  takeover  the  town  for  their  employer.

a  geeky  person  hires  their  old  high  school  crush  to  be  their  dating  'coach',  but  after  spending  all  that  time  together  the  coach  realizes  their  feelings  for  the  other.

person  a  is  tired  of  being  the  only  single  one  over  the  holidays  so  they  hired  person  b  over  the  internet  for  some  no  strings  attached  fake  dating.

with  all  flights  canceled  and  hotel  rooms  booked  up,  an  unlikely  pair  decide  to  make  the  most  of  the  small  town  they’re  stuck  in.

the  small  town’s  festivities  are  on  the  brink  of  ruin  unless  muse  a  and  muse  b  can  someone  pull  off  a  miracle  with  their  combined  efforts.

MUSE A is addicted to true crime stories, especially the unsolved mysteries. MUSE B's sibling went missing five years ago and the police have stopped searching. in a desperate attempt to find closure, MUSE B asks for help on the 'case not closed' message board. MUSE A answers MUSE B's plea for help.

OPTIONAL TIDBITS :

could be made into a multimuse or group plot. 

MUSE A could recruit other members of the message board & they all investigate together.

or MUSE B could accept help from multiple members of the board and they compete.

one of the amateur sleuths (or MUSE A) who answers MUSE B’s ad is the one who killed their sibling

MUSE A and MUSE B share a flat. they’ve never met one another, only speaking through the internet ad or notes around the flat.

OPTIONAL TIDBITS :

MUSE A is in need of a cheap place to live in as soon as possible & MUSE B is in need of some quick cash.

MUSE A needs to move out quick because they’re currently living with their ex.

they are sharing a ONE BEDROOM flat and one bed, but are at the flat at separate times.

MUSE A works during the day ; MUSE B works at night. each sleep at the flat while the other is at work.

MUSE A lives in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by woods and finds company with a yellow-eyed wolf. MUSE B is a werewolf who lives in those woods and enjoys visiting MUSE A.

OPTIONAL TIDBITS :

werewolf lore from the book : wolves are only in humans in hot weather & they shift into their wolf form in the cold. (so there can be set the temperatures in either direction or go for in general : summer = human & winter = wolf)

MUSE B saved MUSE A from another wolf when they were a child, and has since looked after MUSE A.

wolves are made through bite, but humans cannot turn in the heat. (i.e. in the summer, while the wolves are human, their bite won’t turn a person, or if the human has a high fever when bitten they will not be turned)

the older a wolf becomes the harder it is to change back into their human form (the wolf half gradually starts to take over). until eventually they stop shifting altogether.

MUSE A and MUSE B were born with a special gene that allows them to travel through time.

OPTIONAL TIDBITS :

their families are members of a secret society & the founder of the society is using them to find the philosopher's stone to become immortal

one of the muses had no idea they were born with this gene, so they have not been trained for time travel.

only one child from each generation has the gene.

MUSE A is a criminal attorney. MUSE B is on trial for a triple murder. they used to be engaged.

OPTIONAL TIDBITS :

MUSE A and MUSE B‘s relationship ended on bad terms by fault of MUSE A.

specific : they broke up because MUSE A cheated.

MUSE B is a suspect because the victims played a part in MUSE B’s significant other’s death.

MUSE B has a child, MUSE C.

MUSE A got MUSE B acquitted, but MUSE B confesses afterwards they did kill those people.

MUSE C hired someone to murder those people.
