Enjoy the tastes of this Stuffed French Bread, which is filled with ground pork, onions, colorful bell peppers, and fragrant herbs. This dish is a great mix of textures and tastes, thanks to the melted mozzarella, Parmesan, and marinara sauce on top.
Ingredients: 1 French bread loaf. 1 lb ground pork. 1 cup diced bell peppers assorted colors. 1 cup diced onion. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 teaspoon dried oregano. 1 teaspoon dried basil. 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional. Salt and pepper to taste. 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese. 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese. 1 cup marinara sauce. Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish.
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 375F 190C. Slice the French bread loaf in half lengthwise and hollow out the center to create a trough. In a skillet, cook ground pork over medium heat until browned. Add diced bell peppers, onion, minced garlic, oregano, basil, red pepper flakes if using, salt, and pepper. Cook until vegetables are tender. Fill the hollowed French bread with the pork and vegetable mixture. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese over the top of the pork mixture. Spread marinara sauce evenly over the cheese layer. Place the stuffed French bread on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove from the oven, garnish with chopped fresh parsley, and let it cool for a few minutes. Slice and serve the delicious Stuffed French Bread.
