Pairing: Muriel X GN! Apprentice (Grey) X F! Apprentice (Melphina)
Summary: Grey can't sleep. Mel and Muri decide to help them out. Not like that ya nasty.
It was pitch black outside, the only light in the small hut being a small fire somone had started in the fireplace.
The figure glances back at the bed with two others, embraced and asleep. They smile.
The outline of Inanna lying in her own part of the cozy hut is visible, and they can't help but run their fingers through her fur. She stirs, but makes a please noise.
Grey sighs. They can't sleep.
It isn't unusual. It's quite common, really. But it doesn't change the fact they are still very tired. Curling the scarf around their neck more comfortably, they sit by the fire, eyes half lidded. The crackling soothes them.
There is shuffling on the bed, and then there's black as somthing is dropped on their head.
Grey hears the recognizable voice of one of his partners.
They move the fur from blocking their vision, and find Muriel sitting next to them. Melphina is still on the bed, but with Muriel gone, she would be waking up soon.
The large man lets out a grunt, and proceeds to get up and gently shake their partner.
His voice was quiet, and his movement wasn't hard. Muriel hated accidentally hurting them. He knows he strong.
Muriel's face flushes at the nickname, but he scoops her into his arms, and places her on Grey's side.
"Muriel, Mel, You two don't have to- this is normal, you both know I'll just fall asleep eventually."
The man just grunted, wrapping all three of them in a large fur blanket.
"... We want you to fall asleep now."
Grey let out another sigh. Melphina cuddled herself closer, laying her head on their lap.
"C'mon G, let us just cuddle you. We rarely get to 'cuz you're up all the time."
"Fine.. But be warned if it doesn't work."
Melphina smiled, and Muriel's lips tugged upward, as his fingers decided to twirl the magicians hair.
This was fine. This was okay, and this was how it would stay until all three of them fell asleep infront of the dying fire.
In the dead of the night, in the comfort of Muriel's hut, in Vesuvia.
