Honestly really good question because I think about this alot.

I hesitate to call it self-sacrificial since like. We’ve seen what self sacrifice looks like on this server and its demonstrably Not That. But it’s true that he has a history of prioritizing others over himself. Even when doing so kinda shoots him in the foot.

In terms of that pvper mindset everyone likes to talk about Lezy has a foot in both sides. I’d say he’s gotten more aware overtime of the sort of power cycle bliss has going on. When he first joined his mindset seemed to lean more like whatmax’s. It’s only overtime that his perspective gets challenged more and more by nem in particular during prog 4. A perspective shift that eventually turns the tables on Nem, with Lezy being the person who makes them realize Horizon was never going to end with him getting anything out of it other than broken friendships. At the same time, someone who was ‘out’ of that mindset wouldn’t have made two orbital strike cannons. (Also I personally think getting out of that cycle in a way that matters is frankly impossible in a server driven by pvp but thats besides the point) Lezy still gives into the ways of the server, but what stops him from falling into a mindset of the most power hungry members is his empathy.

Lezys very emotionally driven. There’s a lot of people on this server who struggle with things like identity and purpose, but I don’t see those same struggles with lezy. He seems to have a very strong sense of self and purpose, it’s in his emotions that he ends up having conflicts. Because Lezy cares alot about alot of things. In ways I don’t consistently see from alot of members. I really liked that stream he did where he just did trial chambers and talked about quakitus leaving S.O.S. It gave alot of insight into how he thinks. He’s very conscious of how his actions can affect others, and when it comes to people he cares for (friends, teammates, allies) There’s talk on how it’ll affect his team- how upset whatmax will be- but ultimately his focus is on how Quakitus feels. What she wants and what will make her happiest. Alot of that stream is him coming to terms with detaching himself from the situation and stepping back to allow Quakitus to do what she wants. It’s not a conflict you see alot since. Normally when someone wants to leave your team for someone that hates you thats seen as a betrayal. I think ultimately lezys heart can get a bit too big and it gets in the way of his plans because he just isnt the kind of person to crush the people he still cares about in order to get what he wants. Even when it comes to andromeda he still feels bad about potentially destroying cristalit’s work. And that’s not a bad thing! It’s a fun and unique perspective! More people need to tap into Lezy I’m so serious.

Sos is such an interesting little thing to dissect because while we see a lot from Lezys pov, getting a clear read on what he thinks of whatmax and what whatmax thinks of him is kinda hard. (Both because Whatmax doesn’t stream and he just. Is highkey not a lorefarmer)

I’m pretty confident in saying Lezy does care for whatmax though. As a teammate and friend. “I need him and he needs me” type. If WM was just there to be a number/closest person in his vicinity i feel like lezy would’ve left him back during the ragebait alliance era. I think it’s a safe shout to say Lezy has Whatmax’s wellbeing in mind. Wm has a very stubborn(or simple? I guess) mindset. When he’s set on something, it’s hard to pull him away from it. It’s where the whole ‘allying with people who’ll hurt you in the long run’ thing spawns from- and what Lezy wanted to get Whatmax to understand by staying. It was risky for him, and it probably wouldn’t have been that difficult to get wm away from them in the moment, but I think Lezy said this one himself- he would’ve just ran back to them when the going got tough and start the cycle again. So it’d probably hurt, yeah, but it would’ve been for his own good. Flash forward to now, here they are taking fight against not only LE but also Horizon. (Ignore the bta.) They’re still working with other teams, but this time with people they like working with instead of just the strongest person opping mugm.

I wont hold you i think @torchdaisies opinions can articulate anything i could say on this group better than I myself can. Iris codependency is like watching videos of trucks trying to drive under bridges that rip their tops off in the way it’s entertaining and horrifying simultaneously. Torchblossom was doomed to combust but if stormz held out just a teensy bit longer for silva to get his shit together then maybe they could’ve ended it on something a little more happy. I’m a ht1 meteorflower watcher if the twitch wrapped is anything to go by, but I wouldn’t call them why wheelhouse.

I do wanna talk about last stream sesh though. The streams after this was sent. Really fascinating timing and I’m lowk happy and sad that I didn’t respond to this sooner. Because something meteorflower adjacent that I do consider to be an itsy bitsy more in my wheelhouse is Rylanets. And alot of my personal feelings about his character (and meteorflowers if you deep it) were lowk confirmed.

I’ve been describing what iris has been doing to rylan as giving him false hope for months now. Because. Well. That’s exactly what they’ve been doing. Regardless of their actual feelings or what they really meant or intended or wanted for him. That’s what they ended up doing. Arguably since torchblossom era, even if it wasn’t intentional.

Hey! ^_^ That post wasn’t about Nezo being too trusting. The opposite, actually. I don’t think Nezos ever trusted anyone on this server. Like, really trusted. He’s got people he works with, considers friends, and had his past teams, but he never really trusted them. Yes, brotherhood is included here.

I couldn’t pinpoint where or what started, as I wasn’t really around for the first couple progs, but I’d have to guess it started around the first time his gem broke? Talking to brotherhood when he was working for them but not yet a member, he didn’t trust his team. Furthermore, he didn’t know if he could trust anyone on the server. Of course, saying this to brotherhood of all people, I blindly assumed there was an unspoken ‘but i trust you’ for reasons I couldn’t piece together. Looking back maybe he was just saying it to air it out. Or maybe for one reason of another, he did trust brotherhood at the time. I couldn’t tell you, but I know for certain he didn’t trust them by betrayal.

After all, if he trusted them, trusted Mugm, then he would’ve trusted him to give the egg back if he asked.

I believe him when he says he still cares about Mugm. It’s not contradictory, to care about someone, to consider yourself friends, but never trust them. It’s just different. And not particularly great. The same way you can care and want friendship with someone you view as a weapon of destruction. It causes him to seem like he’s being fake or counterintuitive- but it ultimately boils down to how he just can’t trust. Trust in Mugm to give him the egg. Trust in brotherhood to view him as his own person. And honestly? Trust in himself to have what it takes to see his goals to fruition. But Stormz had done an excellent job laying that out already. No notes.

Hi i forgot about this ^_^ but i think a pretty obvious one as of recent is Stormz and Silva. Which. They have interacted before! Exactly once! And it was not. Pleasant! But i do think with current events and relationship developments it’s an interaction that’s inevitable.

Genuinely a dynamic that could either go really well or really horribly. Like maybe resentment from that first convo, mixed with reflection of the self /neg manages to seep through and Q has to deal with two of the most important ppl on the server hating the fuck out of the other. Hell, even if they hate eachother they both dont want to make Q sad, so maybe they end up in a dynamic where they can only beef with eachother when Q isn’t looking and pretend to be chummy otherwise. That would be funny.

I like Perfect by Marianas Trench ! I think its like. The first song of theirs i ever heard and i love it dearly. Honestly the whole Masterpiece Theatre album may be one of my favorites albums ever. Another good mention from that album is Celebrity Status and out of album Dearly Departed goes hard too.
