Recently Megan Joy started a cleanse of the body, mind, and soul and it inspired me to start a journey of my own. If you aren’t familiar with Megan Joy she was on American Idol. I personally found out about her when I started following the band The Used a few years ago. She is married to Quinn Allman who is the Guitarist for The Used, however, he has recently decided to take the year off from The Used (Justin Shekoski of Saosin will be filling in) to work on a project with Megan. I can’t wait to see what they are working on. The chemistry that Quinn and Megan have when they are together is amazing, they literally radiate love.

I was inspired by Megan to start writing because I want somewhere to put my thoughts into words. I wish that it was possible for me to share ALL my thoughts, feelings, and secrets with you but the fear of judgment is very hard to overcome. I’m hoping that writing and sharing my thoughts and feelings helps me gain the confidence I need to be able to say what I want without caring about what others think. Yes, I said it, I CARE WHAT PEOPLE THINK, and all it has done for me is hold me back. The more I care about what other people think the more it limits me from being me. I don’t want that to be a factor here. I want to share and talk about anything and everything about my life. I am doing this for me. Not for likes, not for followers, for me. I want to learn more about myself and transition into the best me I can be.

Something you will quickly learn about me is that I am extremely ADD. I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was a kid but I think as I have gotten older its turned into just ADD since I’m not nearly as hyper as I used to be. Living with an attention deficit disorder is a constant struggle. You know Dory from finding nemo? Yeah, I can relate. I went to lunch with a friend the other day and as he was telling me a story a name came up I hadn’t heard in a while and I literally interrupted him mid story to ask “Oh, so-and-so, how is he doing?” to which he responded “one thing at a time, Crystal” this is not an uncommon situation for me because my mind is constantly trailing off. My point being that my writing may come off a little scatterbrained and may trail off to all sorts of random places.
