Here’s a shoutout/source call for Mega Ten fictives*
*excluding Persona fictives - we love y’all, you’re wonderful and valid, but this post was requested specifically for fictives of lesser known Mega Ten games! If you’d like a shoutout/source call for Persona fictives, please shoot us an ask!
There’s a lot of Mega Ten games out there - so here’s to fictives from those sources! It’s not weird or cringey to have fictives from video games - in fact, all the fictives in our system are from video games! Regardless of your source, you are a welcome and lovely part of the plural community. Please don’t feel bad for introjecting a fictive from a Japanese game if you’re not Japanese - systems have little to no control over who gets introjected into their system! You are still real, lovely, and an authentic individual just the way you are!
It can certainly feel lonely being the only fictive you know from a particular source. So let’s try to change that! If you’re a fictive from:
- Soul Hackers
- Dx2
- Tokyo Sessions
- The Devil Summoner or Devil Survivor games
- or any Shin Megami Tensei game
Please keep your chin up and take pride in who you are! If you’re looking for some community with other Mega Ten fictives, go ahead and interact with this post to find some like minded folks who share your source! If you’re from a Mega Ten game we failed to mention that isn’t a Persona game, you’re also welcome to interact in order to find some sourcemates!
We love y’all, we’re rooting for you, and we wish you the very best! Hopefully you will be able to find some friendship and community with other Mega Ten sourcemates!
Looking for some positivity? We’re open for positivity/source call requests!
The sole exception to this is @technicdevil, who would be the foreign bouncer who works at that nightclub in Shibuya in Persona 5.
Cute!

Thank you for your insight, habibi. Very cool!
“Yeah, I’m reading news about Persona 5: Royal. Yes, I am a big fan of Persona 3, 4, and 5.”
I finally beat Shin Megami Tensei V...the original vanilla version, not Vengeance. In fact, Vengeance's release was part of what took me so long as I kept debating on whether to stop altogether, buy it, and start over with Vengeance because I was like a little over halfway done with the main game on Vanilla.
But I chose to soldier on and have now completed Vanilla.
And I dug it for the most part. Gameplay and visuals just kill it in V, though I feel like a lot of the best demon designs were reserved for the endgame.
Speaking of endgame, that last dungeon was not a fun time and felt more like a chore to trudge through than a worthwhile experience that fosters exploration and hearty battling like the game's earlier areas.
Overall, I would rank SMTV as my third favorite from what I've played so far. For me, III kind of outshines it a bit more by giving me that white-knuckle, oh sh*t, tension with its boss battles. And IV still remains my absolute favorite as it probably has the strongest story and characters out of those three so far.
We'll see if that changes if I ever finish II, and play through I and IV: Apocalypse.
