Start thumb with orange

Blah blah blah - main part

Finish thumb, put on yarn

M1, K 5 rows

Rib 5 rows in yellow

Knit 2, k2tog from right needle cast off

Mitten cover

Cast on 18

Rib 1x1 - 5 rows (including set up)

Cast on 18 more to work in the round

12/13 rows knit

on each half of the round:

SSK, K14, K2tog (16)

SSK, K12, K2tog (14)

SSK, K10, K2tog (12)

SSK, K8, K2tog (10)

SSK, K6, K2tog (8)

At least I finished Alan's convertible hand warmers last week... He wanted something that would match his running shoes.
