The names Artegall and Britomart come from The Faerie Queene, the Elizabethan epic poem written by Edmund Spenser that inspired Sylvius and Hildegard in first place. In the poem, Sir Artegall represents the virtue of Justice, and Britomart - who is a lady knight - represents the virtue of Chastity. The two are lovers, but most of their adventures happen apart from the other. Read the Faerie Queene! It’s great!

6 years ago my life ended and everyone abandoned me, to try to cope with it, I created ocs, so my oc Rei. I used to draw him all the time, to imagine his world, to imagine him, he was my best friend, when I was alone he was all I had. And sometimes it haunted me, because he was happy in his world, he was happy because I made him happy, but I wasn't. Art saved me, it was the only thing I had, and it's the only thing I have now, I can trust art, I can focus on art for hours. You didn't save me, but art did, do not take its victory. I can't trust anyone and I'm in pain
