A comforting and hearty vegan version of the classic biscuits and gravy, featuring vegan sausage crumbles smothered in a creamy almond milk gravy, served over freshly baked biscuits.
Ingredients: 1 cup vegan sausage crumbles. 2 tablespoons vegan butter. 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour. 1 cup unsweetened almond milk. Salt and pepper to taste. 8 vegan biscuits, baked.
Instructions: In a skillet, cook vegan sausage crumbles according to package instructions until browned. Add vegan butter to the skillet and let it melt. Sprinkle flour over the sausage and butter mixture, stirring continuously to create a roux. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the flour is lightly browned. Slowly pour in almond milk, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Cook until the mixture thickens to desired gravy consistency. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve the vegan sausage gravy over warm, baked vegan biscuits.
