This Vegan Falafel Burger is a flavorful and satisfying plant-based alternative to traditional burgers. It's packed with herbs and spices and served with refreshing tzatziki sauce.
Ingredients: 2 cups cooked chickpeas. 1/2 cup chopped red onion. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped. 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped. 1 tsp ground cumin. 1/2 tsp ground coriander. 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper. Salt and pepper to taste. 2 tbsp chickpea flour or any flour of choice. 1/2 tsp baking powder. 2-3 tbsp olive oil. Lettuce leaves, tomato slices, cucumber slices, and vegan tzatziki sauce for serving.
Instructions: In a food processor, combine the cooked chickpeas, red onion, garlic, parsley, cilantro, cumin, coriander, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Pulse until the mixture becomes a coarse paste. Transfer the falafel mixture to a bowl and add chickpea flour and baking powder. Mix well to combine. Form the mixture into burger-sized patties. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Cook the falafel patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
