Every day here at Meadow Elementary, we cover a different subject. This is to help keep our young minds active and engaged. Below is a handout of our weekly schedule, as well as times for lunch and naps.
Mathematics Monday - We cover basic arithmetic, counting, and learning the names of numbers and their meanings.
Library Tuesday - This is a reading day in which we go to the library, check out and share our books with the class, and (if the Book Fair is in town) pick up a couple of books to take home, too! If you have a book you want to share with your classmates and it can’t wait until Saturday, share on Tuesday!
Writing Wednesday - On Wednesdays, we learn how to write with the alphabet, learn to write our names, and begin writing sentences.
Science Thursday - Thursdays are one of the most exciting days here at Meadow Elementary! On these days, we go to the science lab and do fun experiments and art crafts. Handouts will be given to students so that they can complete the experiments/crafts at home, too!
Culture Friday - For Friday, we learn about a culture or holiday. We have fun crafts and foods from this culture/holiday/festival to experience a little bit of the world from our own classroom!
Show and Tell Saturday - Saturdays are all about sharing here at Meadow Elementary! Submitted worksheets and coloring pages are shared with the class on Saturdays, as well as any completed projects, recipes, new games or shows, or anything else you want to share!
Shopping Sunday - Sundays are all about shopping ‘til you drop! Window shopping, that is. On this day, we share deals we find at stores, thrifts we picked up, or anything else we think our classmates may want to pick up for themselves. This is also a good day to share shopping lists; never know when someone else may need that stuffed puppy you found at Target, too!
Lunches are served daily at 12:00P CMT, and these recipes are shared as well, so we can recreate our delicious lunches any time we want. We have recess every day, too, of course! Recess is a time for sharing toys, games, shows, coloring pages, and anything else you do for fun with all of your friends here at Meadow Elementary! Nap time/Bedtime is every evening at 8:00P CMT. This is a time for all of our little daisies to wind down for the night and get cozy in bed to rest for the next big day! During this quiet time, we share quiet music and ambient noise that we like to listen to, ASMR that helps us fall asleep, and other calming resources to help us wind down after a fun and eventful day here at the preschool.
