Today has been such a long day. Anatomy dissection has been rather frustrating. Damn cadavers. The workload is killing me. Rather afraid of Friday right now cause I know I won't get it all done. But one step at a time. I am gonna be just alright. That moment when the anatomy demonstrator makes you feel like you've been doing nothing. You stand there with your cadaver, you cut him cut him up cut him up. Expose the damn tissues, expose expose. Name them. Rationalize your theory with what you can see. Find the small nerves. Find the cutaneous things. Name them name them. Rationalize realize appreciate learn. Feel accomplished go home have a hearty meal read some sleep eight goddamn hours. The next day: wakey. Anatomy lab. Anatomy demonstrator: WHAT WERE YOU DOING YOU JUST BUTCHERED THE DAMN CADAVER WHERE IS THE WHATNOT LIGAMENT WHAT IS THAT YOU'RE POINTING WHY IS THIS ONE DISLOCATED NO THAT IS NOT THE ANTERIOR CRUCIATE LIGAMENT YOU HAVE ZERO CONTENT YOU'RE NOT READING.. And you're there perplexed like whaaaaat!!!!! I did the damn thing yesterday and got it damn right. Oh that is the fascia cruris I am sorry sir. WHAT! That is a LIGAMENT????? Well ligament sir ain't you damn tiny. What??? What do you mean Pott's? I ain't never heard of Pott's. The Tailor's what now?! I ain't seeing no bursas. Damn veins, always every where... And by the end of the damn session you're behind the allocated timetable. You feel like you did nothing. And now then now you got too much to do. And there's no time. Lesson learnt. Don't trust that feeling of satisfaction you may feel as you step out of that damn lab. You missed something bro. Go back and check again. Seek different opinions. Keep curious.
