I'd eat just about anything Steve makes for me (okay that sounded dirtier than intended) and I'd be a happy woman 🥺 I adore Steve shocking and I do think he has a nurturing side to him, especially when in a happy relationship 😭

So... what does he prepare?

A) Anything he remembers from his childhood - it might will not be fancy, but it reminds him of home, just like his girl in this case me and I'm crying

B) Something quite fancy, because he is very happy to see the result of his work, something tangible and real made with his hands, just like his art, which leads me to

A OR B - pie for dessert. Not optional. Also, the top of the pie is a piece of art, thank you for asking.

And now I'm longing for Steve AND his skills in the bedroom kitchen 🥺💖

i think it’s very telling about how time can help shift someone’s perspective.

jack spent years undercover, everyone he knows believing he was dead (except ana by what it seems like) (and possibly reaper if we follow what i think chu said once about them seeing each other and KNOWING who the other is?) and possibly further regretting a lot of his decisions and his non-decisions, and his determination to follow the law so much, and also possibly the guilt for what happened to overwatch, to jack, to himself.

i feel it made him weathered enough that he forced himself to stop feeling like he had to always follow the rules so strictly, took a page from gabe’s book, and started acting instead

(which still amuses me because like, his mannerisms in game, his voicelines, still hint to his earlier attitude, there’s still a soldier there in him and it shines through even as he forces himself through to tie all the loose ends

and like… i find it fascinating? how these two still manage to be tied to one another through years and years, how their friendship and-possibly-more shaped their thoughts and their reactions to things, and i honestly want to know more

and both of them are fascinating in their own right, though i would love to have more info on jack’s side of this as well. a disappointed, disillusioned soldier who tries to hold on to what’s left of him, and what brought him there.

hopefully we get some of that through all this juicy new info on reaper/gabriel
