Some people saying that RE purists won't like Cregger's Resident Evil Movie for not exactly adapting a specific game's story and for not using known characters. But after Ethan Winters and now Grace Ashcroft, bringing back the "survival horror" through brand new, non-legacy protagonists, I don't see current RE fans saying, "This isn't Leon/Chris/Jill/Claire!" then not even giving the movie a chance. We know what happens when we give new RE protagonists a chance, in a tone that feels like a return to "survival horror". We get Resident Evil 7 Biohazard, Resident Evil 8 Village, and Resident Evil 9 Requiem. Those games helped bring "Crapcom" back into "CAPGOD" status.
