let me start off by saying that i have been in this fandom for six seconds and my 1D feels are more like HD ZAYN MALIK BE SUCH A SHINING YOUNG GOD OF BEAUTY AND HIGH NOTES AND ALL THE GOOD THINGS IN THIS WORLD that are with each passing day becoming omFG these boys are such iDIOTS i just want to hug them and feed them cookies and watch them do naughty things to zayn HOW ARE THEY EVEN REAL

when was the last time someone hugged you?

what is your definition of hug. cause my family can be pretty touchy so there's a lot of arms around shoulders and cuddles. but a full on hug, arms wrapped around each other and squeezing so the other person can really feel it? that'd be last month when my bff/roommate moved down to florida to continue her education (i miss her so much crying forever about it) what movie have you watched so many times you know almost all the lines?

that'd prob be lion king lol, it's like my all time fave disney movie EVER and i've watched it so many times i could recite it in my sleep.

hahaha okay here goes: my family/relatives call me beba/la beba which is spanish for 'baby girl', or gatita/gata which means 'kitten/cat' (they like to make fun of me about how much like a cat i am). my grandfather calls me my friends call me rosie or rosa or rose depending on the person, as do most other people (i resigned myself a long time ago that most people would mispronounce my name, so shortening it is just a preemptive strike) when was the last time you ate a really fantasmic meal?

OH MAN LIKE TWO WEEKS AGO. my mama made sancocho (it's a type of soup) and it was DELICIOUS mmmmmm

what dyou think about yoga?

i think yoga is really awesome and soothing. i used to do at school but i've let go of it recently. imma have to rectify that cause it really made me feel good while i was doing it what dyou think about tumblr?

i think tumblr is a really awesome place for people of likes to get together and celebrate their fave things. and it's a place for civil minded people to come to a place and respectfully discuss matters of race/sex/politics etc where each side gets to express their side of view and there's good/lengthy discourse.

i also think that tumblr can bring out the absolute worst in people, whether it be in fandom or moral ethics. i've seen some really shitty things happen on tumblr, just like i've seen some really beautiful things. i think tumblr is often what you make of it. when was the last time you cried?

that was when i had to put my cat, sammi, down. i'd had him since middle school and from a kitten, and i loved him so freaking much (still do). he had incurable skin cancer, and so there really wasn't any other option but to put him down. i still remember every moment of that day so clearly, how it he just stayed cuddled to my side the whole time and it was like he knew- he was so accepting of it, knew he'd be in a better pain free place. 

i couldn't be in the room when they actually did it, i was literally on my knees shaking and crying, so my mom stayed with him and i went out to the car. i cried that entire weekend (it was a friday), and i still do sometimes just remembering it. 

when was the last time you had a really good sleep?

i can't remember the exact date, my roommate and i in school used to take naps together all the time because sleep is a beautiful thing and everyone should naps eVERYONE.

anyways yeah, we had both just come back from classes and had an event later that night, so we just looked at each other and declared 'nap time'. we curled up under the blankets and went to sleep for a good hr and a half and it was fuCKING GLORIOUS *thinks of that time wistfully*

what was the last book you read?

i am in the process of (and have been for like, 6 months) reading american gods by neil gaiman.  i have the horrible habit of reading multiple books at once and then putting at least two of them down mid way thru and leaving em for weeks/months while i pick up another how many pillows dyou sleep with?

ALL THE PILLOWS. ALL OF THEM. i love pillows like i love zayn malik- wholeheartedly and unconditionally. loll no 4real tho i sleep with... five. i like to put two of them together in one pillow case, and the fifth is a body pillow i sleep curled against

mannnn i feel this post a lot especially as a biracial muslim who is also queer like the way ALL OF THAT so often gets either side stepped and ignored completely in fic or gets villified or just DONE WRONG is so upsetting and whenever zayn talks about his family i get so greedy like PLS MORE I LOVE THAT YOU LOVE YOUR FAMILY AND CARE ABOUT THEM and i wish fandom would just step offffff

ALL we get is proof that his family is a very close-knit, supportive, grounded, loving unit but in fic we get homophobia, restriction, coldness, othering, 'exotica', etc etc etc. It is the worst. I would kill for good Maliks representation.

RIGHT like on 1d day doniya called in for a second and i think i may have alarmed the girls watching with me what with like. my excited shrieking. also ask me if i will EVER IN A MILLION YEARS be over zayn and waliyha in the soml video. so kind of you to ask! NO. NO I WILL NOT. and like my zayn and trisha malik feelings could make my house float like the balloons in up!, okay, they are serious business. (ugh when zayn tells his mom 'what a gangsta you are' for her food in fancy glass jars i die. I DIE!!!) so like. even yaser aside i do not understand how anybody could think it is at all reflective of reality that trisha would ever cut ties with zayn, or put up with anybody who wanted to????

but yaser NOT aside like this family is so warm and affectionate and goofy and comfortable (except when waliyha sulks at zayn because she is like 14 and WAY TOO COOL for her stupid boy band big brother omg) and like. safe with each other. and happy. and i think people really underestimate how converting for somebody else is a big??? deal??? kind of no matter what religion you're switching to. like i am the most noncommittal jew on the planet and i understand this. and most of the interracial couples i have observed, when there is a white partner and there are major cultural and/or religious differences, the brown partner has given up all their cultural stuff for the white partner. you don't see it the other way that often. trisha converted to islam??? and has presumably learned some urdu and/or arabic??? and raised all four of their kids muslim??? and is really proud and wrote an essay about how she was proud for having done this??? and is an actual halal chef??? like if nothing else TRUST TRISHA'S JUDGMENT for crying out loud she seems so kind and loving and communicative, i would assume that any partner she'd make such a major life change for would be the same???

like i am not advocating for sainthood for white christian people who convert to their brown partners' religions, okay, i am just saying i appreciate trisha malik and, by extension, someone she judges to have been worth all this fuss, until i am given a reason to feel otherwise. and there is no such reason.
