The Old Sea Gull Coffee House. This coffee house is listed in the 1910 Polk’s Directory as 211 1/2 East Holly Street. It was located in the basement on the alley side of the Sunset Block on the northwest corner of Holly and Elk (now State) Streets. Next door to the coffee house is the W.D. McKenney Women’s Apparel and Furnishings store. The building also was home to the Commercial Hotel and other businesses.

Wilmurt's Motel was established in 1930 as cabins, a gas station and restaurant. In the 1950s, it expanded to a motor court style motel. At the time of closure in the early 2000s, it was operating as an Economy Inn.
Notice the roof-line is the same as the 1930s postcard. The rest of the facade was built around the original structure. Located in McKenney, Virginia.
Ye Olde Virginnie Motel & Restaurant of McKenney, Virginia
Built in the 1930s, transitioned into a motel in the 1950s, operated as an assisted living facility until the early 2000s. The motel portion of the structure is now abandoned, but the main house remains occupied. Source
