June 3, 1965 06:56 EST Gemini IV astronauts, command pilot James McDivitt and pilot Edward White leaving the suit-up trailer near pad 16 at Cape Canaveral - Florida. At 07:00 EST, they boarded the little NASA van for the short ride to launch pad 19. Note White's helmet has the Gold over-visor clipped on and McDivitt clearly wore two Omega Speedmaster chronographs, one at each wrist. Thanks to the "Early Bird" satellite, "live" TV-images were broadcasted to 12 European countries, as worldwide interest for the upcoming EVA - spacewalk was immense! (Photo: NASA)
