Prompt: For your 200 followers celebration: Prompt: Kirk is going to kill you Pairing: McCoy x Reader Good luck and well done on your achievement. For @mysteriouslyme81
Warnings: just a little kissy kiss.
Pairing: McCoy/reader
A/N: Not exactly what I wanted, or what the prompt asked. But I hope this okay....
Jim Kirk started picking up on the relationship not long after you and Leonard started dating. You were a bridge officer, nothing special, just making sure all the readings stayed the same. It started when you Leo just kept looking at one another. Catching glances and smiling, sometimes it was warm and appreciative. On other days it was a sly smile, like the two of you, were sharing a secret. Jim let it go, you two couldn't have been running around without him knowing.
Then he caught the soft touches as you left the bridge. Or short small appreciative words across the bridge. Being the mature Captain he was, he would never spy on his crew. But he was not above sending his young Russian whiz kid to see if you two were up to something. âThink of it as ensuring proper crew relations.â
âBut, sir, this is Doctor McCoyâs personal life.â
âJust do it. Iâm going to kill him if I find out heâs dating without telling me! Iâve been telling him to get with Y/N for weeks!â
You were on a biobed being treated with what Leonard called, an old-fashioned physical exam. It was making out, pure kissing and roaming hands. You let your thumbs run over the light stubble that had grown that day. He nipped your lips and you squeaked, âLeo!â
âLeo?â
You both stilled at the unfamiliar voice. âHe lets you call him Leo? Anything other than Leonard or Bones, which took a long time, by the way, gets me decked!â Slowly Leonard removed his mouth from yours and looked to the angry, but slightly bemused captain.
âJim, please leave.â
âWhy didnât you tell me!? Bones, we are best friends! I was telling you to flirt Y/N up!â
Bones sighed heavily, âBecause I knew youâd react like this. I just wanted to try love again in quiet. Jim, you know how personal this is to me. H-How scared I am to try again. I just needed this to be private.â Jim sighed and closed the distance. He looked up at you then his eyes landed back on Len. He clapped his friend on the back and smiled.
âI know. I have a tendency to get my nose in everything. Y/N, take care of him.â Jim Kirk turned and walked out, âRemember to use protection.â
âIâm going to kill him,â Leonard muttered before you pulled him back into the kiss.

A/N: The first two parts are just the first parts of the fic that Iâve already written.
âYou collapsed,â A man with dark hair loomed over you. âIn the middle of a fight. Â Are you sick?â
You blinked dumbly at him until you recognized the insignia on his blue shirt and began to panic. Â âWhere am I?â
âYouâre in my medbay,â His hands pressed on your shoulders when you tried to get up, â-just try and take it easy.â His gruff voice contradicted with his coaxing words. Â âItâs going to be alright.â
Is it? You thought as you stared up into his hazel eyes. Â How could it be, when youâve landed in the hands of the enemy?
Your eyes blink open slowly, an unfamiliar grogginess pulls at the back of your skull and your mouth opens with a soundless groan. Â Were you drugged?
Youâre in a bed. Â And thereâs a blanket over you. Â Safety? You ask yourself, but your visual display beeps red as it comes into focus. Â Thereâs someone in the room.
Swiveling your head, you get a glimpse of a dark form beside a bright computer before blinding pain shudders down your spine and cracks your skull open.
Then there are hands on your shoulders and words being mumbled at you.
Those hands. That voice. Â You remember from when you woke up the first time. The insignia on his shirt. Â Enemy.
You thrash against his hands, but the pain only gets worse, so you instead let out a scream. Â His hands grip you harder and you think he says something, but you canât hear anything. Â Nothing except the ringing in your ears that seems to be getting louder. Â
âDamnit.â is the only word you are able to make out before thereâs a soft pinch in the skin of your neck and the world quickly fades to black again.
â-ey. Â Open your eyes for me, okay? Â Slowly. Â And for the love of god please donât freak out again, it nearly drove you to a heart attack last time.â
The now-familiar voice coaxed you out of your drug-induced slumber, and you slowly pried your eyes open. Â The man was hovering over your bed, his expression one that you couldnât place.
Concern. Your visual display offered, and you agreed. Â He looked concerned. Â And hesitant. Â As if you were going to start swinging at him.
âI had a heart attack?â Your throat was raw and your words were raspy.
The manâs features seemed to relax, and his mouth settled into a line. âNearly.  Nearly a heart attack.  Your heart rate was through the roof and your blood pressureâŚâ
âThatâs odd.â Your brow furrowed.
The man paused. âHow so?â
âI was unaware that I had a heart.â
The manâs mouth opened and closed soundlessly, his brow furrowing and unfurrowing as he seemed to be mentally double checking something.
âWho are you?â You asked, shaking him out of his confusion.
His eyes met yours. âIâm Dr. McCoy. Â Leonard McCoy. Â Iâm the Chief Medical Officer.â
You nodded and observed him carefully. Â âDr. McCoy, how did I get here?â
His shoulders relaxed a bit and he stepped away from the screen in front of him. âWellâŚâ He scratched the back of his neck.
A sign of nervousness. Your visual display identified, but with a flick of your eyes, the words disappeared.
Dr. McCoy continued, âI was down there, in the whole skirmish between your⌠people⌠and mine, when I saw you collapse.â
âDid you not think it was because I mightâve been attacked by one of your people?â
He shook his head. âThere was no one around you when you hit the ground.â
âDo you always watch people so carefully?â You tilted your head.
His chuckle was low and soft, âIâm a doctor, itâs part of my job.â
A red light started beeping on your display, the same as before when your ears started ringing. Â You shifted in the bed, but didnât notify the doctor of your discomfort. âDo my people know Iâm here?â
His eyes searched your face, but he answered, âI donât know.  I beamed you straight up here and⌠resuscitated you.â
âI⌠died?â The ringing started distantly in your ears and you took a few shaky breaths.
âYou feeling alright, darlinâ?â
Darlinâ? Your display started scanning to translate, but came up empty. Â Your head started to throb, and you pressed on, âAnswer my question, doctor.â
He stepped back to the screen and his eyes scanned it quickly. Â âIs your head starting to hurt?â
âIâm fine!â You insisted, but a surge of pain made you gasp, and your hand instinctively flew up to press on your temple.
âLie back and breathe deeply, okay?â The head of the bed lowered as your eyes closed in pain.
âI⌠canâtâŚâ You groaned, and your body started to tremble, your fists clenching and unclenching.
âRelax⌠Hey!  You need to breathe, damnit!â His hand fell to your shoulder and your arm instinctively flew up to knock it away.
âAGH!â A scream tore at your throat as the world went black once more.

A/N: I call this part âBones is working as fast as he can will you leave him alone?â
Part 1 Â Part 2
âBones what the hell are you doing up there?â Jimâs voice blared through the com as Leonard stepped out into the hall, out of Y/Nâs room.Â
âDoing my job.â Leonard snapped back.Â
âWell could you do it a little faster, we need you down here!â There was a muffled explosion from the other end of the com.Â
âIâm sorry, Jim, but I have a patient to attend to, a very... special... patient.â
âThis is no time to play favourites, Bones, now get your ass-â Jimâs voice cut out mid sentence.Â
âJim? Â JIM!?â Bones yelled into the com before snapping it shut and pressing it to his forehead in frustration.Â
âLeonard?â Scottyâs voice was hesitant as the door slid open.Â
âYes?â
âI donâ know what yer plan is, but we might need to pick up the pace a little.â He looked hesitant as he wrung his hands.Â
âWhy?â Leonard crossed his arms over his chest.Â
âBecause this software that seems to be embedded in her... Leonard, it seems to be frying her from the inside out.â
Leonard gulped back a pang of worry, but maintained his composure. âWhat do you mean, frying her?â
Scottyâs hands waved as he explained quickly. âThe system is nothing like Iâve ever seen before, ever.  Noâ even in the one we brought aboard to take a look at. She seems tâa be the only one with this particular software.â
âWhat the are you getting at, Mr. Scott?â
âSir.â Scotty looked at Leonard, hard. âShe isnât like the others.  The others are fully computerized, âcyborgsâ if you may.  She?  Sheâs only part computer.  The other part is human.â

âAye, I dunno whaâ in the world this software is, but whaâever it is, itâs definitely whaâs causing her tâa blackout.â
This voice was not familiar as you once again were drawn out of the blackness of sleep.
âHey, sheâs waking up, just, back off a little, she spooks easy.â That was the voice of Dr. McCoy, you recognized.
This time it was a lot easier to get your eyes to open, and the first thing you saw was his face. Â
âWelcome back, darlinâ.â
âWhat does that mean; âdarlinââ?â You sat up a little, feeling fine despite just having passed out from pain.
âItâs a human colloquialism, and itâs something I say when I donât know someoneâs name.â
âInteresting. Â My name is Y/N, if you would rather.â
âY/N.â He tested the word on his tongue and his eyes seemed to soften around the edges.
âIâm sorry tâinterupt, buâ Iâd really like tâa run sâmore diagnostics.â The source of the first voice came into your view now. Â A man in a red shirt stepped forward. He looked a little older than Dr. McCoy, with soft features and whispy red-brown hair.
Dr. McCoy stepped back and gestured to the man. âY/N, this is Mr. Scott.â
âOr Scotty, if ya like.â The red-shirted man smiled.
âYes, or Scotty.â Dr. McCoy smirked. âHeâs our head engineer.â
You tipped your head at him in acknowledgment, but looked back to Dr. McCoy in question, âYou are both heads of your department, why arenât you down in the fight? Â Surely youâre much more needed thereâ
âNot necessarily, youâre still blacking out, and thatâs my main concern right now.â Dr. McCoy looked down at you pointedly.
âYour main concern? Â With a bloody battle going on down below?â Your eyes slid back and forth between the men questioningly.
Neither of them answered, so you spoke again. Â âWhy am I so important?â
They exchanged nervous glances before Scottyâs eyes widened, his lips pursed as he turned back to the screen. Â Dr. McCoy glared at him for a moment before turning back to you.
âBecauseâŚâ He sighed, as if he didnât want to complete the sentence.  âBecause you might be our key to winning this war.â
âWar?â You told your display to search Doctor Leonard Mccoy, quickly scanning the data before continuing, âThis vessel and its crew is supposed to be on a research expedition. Â Why are you involved in a war?â
âI think youâd better ask your own people that question, because we were the ones who received a distress signal from your planet.â He explained, "and when we got down there you were the ones who attacked us.â
You scanned his features for a sign that would indicate he was lying when the red light appeared again in your vision.
Squirming on the bed, you started to panic, anticipating the pain, and you barely squeaked out "doctorâ before he was at your side, scanning you with a whizzing handheld machine.
âScotty, whatâs going on?â He barked over his shoulder as you felt the headache begin to rise.
âIâve almost isolated it but it seems t'a be triggered by her usinâ the internal software.â Scotty responded as he tapped furiously on the device in his lap.
âInternal software?" Â Dr. Mccoy questioned.
"Aye.  The computer seems to be integrated into her brain, into herâŚâ
âCentral nervous system.â Both men said at the same time.
Dr. Â Mccoy looked like he just had an epiphany and quickly stepped away from you, reaching into a drawer.
You, on the otherhand, started to feel the skull crushing pain that had so far preceded blackout. Â âDoctor?" Â You called out again.
"Hold on, darlinâ.â He mumbled as he continued to dig through the drawer. âHold on.â
You whimpered and squeezed your eyes shut as the men both worked.
âAye! Iâve goâ it! Just one switch an-â
âNo, Scotty, donât do anything until I give her this⌠DAMNIT WHERE ARE THEâŚâ You heard his frantic search through the drawers suddenly halt, âagh, there they are.â
âWha-?â
âIf you turn that off right now itâll throw her system way off kilter and god-knows what Iâll have to do to fix her.â
âAlrighty-then.â
You felt the doctorâs form near the side of the bed and you unsqueezed your eyes to see him leaning over you.
âIâm going to give you this neuro-relaxant to slow down your system. Hopefully itâll make you relax enough that we can stop you from blacking out, okay?â He hovered over you, his hand already pressed to your neck, but you could tell he was waiting for your consent.
You managed a nod just as another ripple of pain shocked through you and your back arched off the bed in response.
You didnât even feel the pinch of the needle, but you did feel your body begin to relax. But the headache was still there, still achingly painful.
âNow, Scotty!â The doctorâs voice echoed in your ears.
âAye.â
The ringing in your ears suddenly reached a peak before it cut off entirely with a loud click. The pain receded just as fast, and you were left lying on the bed, gasping for breath and barely able to move.
You felt a few drops of water slide down your cheeks and you tilted your head questioningly.
âY'allright?â The doctor sat the head of the bed up a little and you looked up at him through a blurry gaze.
âWhat is-?â You lifted a tentative hand to touch your cheeks.
âTears, darlinâ, theyâre tears.â A soft tissue joined your hands and you realized that Dr. McCoy was dabbing at your cheeks.
âI did not know I could produce tears.â
The doctor hummed in response and looked down at you curiously.
âYou know my name.â You commented and mumbled a soft âthanksâ as he removed the tissue.
âWhat?â
âYou said you only say 'darlinâ when you donât know someoneâs name, but you know my name.â
The corners of his mouth tipped upwards. Almost a smile. It made him look handsome. "Itâs used as a sort of 'term of endearmentâ, as they say.â
âHm.â You hummed, tipping your head back against the bed. âInteresting.â

When Dr. McCoy stepped back into the room, he looked a little more sullen than before, a little more...
You resisted the temptation to get your display to scan for emotion, because thatâs what Mr. Scott said brought on your headaches.Â
âIs everything alright?â You asked as the doctor wordlessly resumed his spot in front of the screen next to the bed.Â
âOther than my fellow crew-members and friends being trapped down there, fighting your people, everythingâs just peachy.âÂ
You didnât need your display to tell you that he was being snarky, and you were a bit taken aback. Â The doctor had been nothing but kind to you up until now, what changed?
âDid I do something wrong, doctor?â
His eyes flicked closed and he let out a breath, his shoulders falling a little before he responded. âNo, itâs not you.â He seemed to want to continue, but stopped.
âWhen can I be returned to my people?â You asked, and you could feel the effects of the relaxant slowly starting to wear off.Â
Dr. McCoyâs eyes suddenly flicked to yours. Â Hurt. Your display provided without you ordering it to.Â
âYou want to go back there?â His voice was rough.Â
âAlllllright, lady and gent, shall we take another look at what weâve got goinâ on here?â Scottyâs loud voice cut through the tension that Dr. McCoyâs question left hanging.Â
His eyes lingered on yours for a second more.Â
âDidnât you fix it when I almost blacked out last time?â You questioned, turning now towards the hesitant-looking engineer.Â
âYes... anâ no.â He grabbed his PADD and sidled up next to you. âYe see I could only shut down thaâ part temporarily, the signals are becoming too compressed to stay stable for long periods of time.â
âCompressed?â
âItâs building up too much pressure, thaâ no matter how many times we release it, itâs goinâ tâa continue to build back up.â
You contemplated the meaning of this for a minute. âSo youâre saying if I continue to use my ISD that I will eventually overload the system?â
âISD?â He asked.Â
âInternal Software Display.â
âAh... and yes, eventually, the signals will put too much pressure on the nerves anâ tissue thaâ they are attached to and ye will eventually... short circuit, for lack of a better word.âÂ
âYour brain will shut off and you will die.â Dr. McCoyâs voice cut in and you looked up at him, the annoyance in his eyes making anger fizzle in your fingers.Â
âDo you know nothing of my species? Â We donât have brains, or nerves, or tissue, or hearts.â You looked at Dr. McCoy pointedly on the last word.Â
âThe thing is, you do. Â You do. Â You have a heart and a brain and nerves.â He stalked to his screen and turned it sharply so you could see it. Â âLook. Â Lungs and a stomach and everything.â
The glowing screen showed what looked like a green outline of a body. Â An x-ray, you recalled. Â But you had only heard of x-rays from classes youâd taken, and since your people never needed them, you had no idea what the inside of a body looked like, let a lone a human one.Â
âThis makes no sense to me. Â You could be showing me anything, anyone. Â I donât believe you.â You growled.Â
âItâs all right here!  Heart, lungs, brain.â He pointed to the different parts as he spoke. âAnd itâs a live x-ray from the bed youâre on, go on, move your arm, youâll see it move on the screen.â
You didnât move, only stared at him, your jaw set. âWhy are you doing this?â
âIâm trying to save you, damnit!â His chest heaved with angry breath and his eyes were alight with an emotion you couldnât place.Â
âYouâre not saving me by telling me lies, doctor. Â Now, take me back to my people.â You lifted your chin and tried to keep as much dignity as you could from your spot on the bed.Â
Dr. McCoy wasnât the one who responded this time. Â It was Scotty. Â âLass, if we send you back down there, youâll die. Â The software will overwhelm your system.â
âThen how do we fix it?â You fell back in the bed a bit.Â
Dr. McCoy spoke up again from behind Scotty, and his three words shook you to your core. Â âWe remove it.â

Ice cold fury slid through your veins. Â âWhat?â You spat.Â
Dr. McCoy turned to you, arms crossed over his chest. âThe only way I can possibly think to save you is to remove the whole system.â
âThatâs preposterous.â Your fingers curled in the sheets.Â
He wouldnât meet your eyes. Â
Pushing the blanket down, you slid to the side of the bed. âYou canât remove something that makes up my entire person. Â Itâs the same as saying you want to remove all the blood vessels from your body. Â Itâs not possible.â
Dr. McCoy huffed a laugh.Â
âYou find my life to be amusing?â You seethed.Â
Finally his eyes met yours, and you were surprised that there wasnât anger in them. âYou donât understand.â
âThen explain it to me.â
âI have been.â He stepped towards you now, giving you his full attention, which was quite intimidating. âI have done nothing but explain it to you.  You are not like them, okay? You are flesh and blood where they are computers and wires, nothing else.â
âI donât have blood-â
âBefore I brought you up here, I was treating men down there for injuries, but they werenât soaked in blood. Â No. Â They were soaked in oil, in fluid from your men, not blood.â
âI-â
âThose bastards must have kidnapped you when you were a kid or something and integrated their damn computers into your system. Â And now your body is rejecting it.â
âKidnap?!â Your toes landed on the floor and you moved to stand in front of the doctor. Â âWhat are you saying, Dr. McCoy?â
His hazel eyes bored into yours and he gritted his teeth before responding. âIâm saying youâre human.â
A zap spiked up your spine at his words, and it made you sit down hard on the bed. Â Your display was going wild, but there wasnât the familiar red light or headache. Â âIâm fine.â You brushed off Dr. McCoyâs concerned hands.Â
âSee, itâs malfunctioning. Â We have to remove it... somehow.â Â Looking up, Dr. McCoyâs expression showed deep thought, and his lip was pulled taught beneath his teeth.Â
âNo.â Was the only syllable you could manage at that moment.Â
He looked exhausted when his gaze met yours, and he dragged a hand down his face. Â âItâs the only way...â
Your tongue slid over your teeth as your anger grew. âYou cannot remove it.  I wonât allow it.â
âY/N-â He argued.Â
âNo.  Itâs a part of me.â You stood again, ignoring your sensors telling you that you were off balance. âEven if all you are saying is true, how do I know that you donât just want to open me up to figure out how to destroy all my people?  I wonât allow it.â
His eyes looked sad but you ignored it and continued. âThis system, itâs a part of me.  Itâs not just something I use to look things up, itâs a part of my personality, a part of my livelihood.  It allows me to see the world the way I like to.  So to remove it would be the same as removing your kindness or intelligence, doctor.  Itâs a part of you.â
You stepped up to him and looked him hard in the eyes. âYou canât remove it.â
He looked down at you, his eyes displaying a surprising amount of softness.  It was disconcerting, youâd rather him be raging and yelling, to give you something to work against. âIf we donât, youâll die.â He said flatly, as if heâd reached the end of an argument, like this is the last time heâd say it.Â
You shook your head and blinked hard, trying to find your remaining resolve to fight him. âI canât just let you take this part of me.  Send me back, Leonard.â His eyes snapped to yours at the sound of his first name. âPlease.â

Intro: So this is my entry into the @youre-on-a-starship 1000 follower challenge! Â Thanks for holding it and letting me participate! Â
My words were BURN, FAIR, AND EPICALYX (I actually found a place for that word quite easily, even though it was the weirdest)
An epicalyx is the base of a flower bud. Â I think. Â I instantly thought Sulu.
Pairing: Bones x reader
Word Count: 1,478
Summary: No real summary. Â Gala fun. Â Slight description of a burn. Â Fluff.Â
-Enjoy!-
"I'm fine, Len, I promise." You hissed through your teeth as you held the com to your mouth.Â
"Darlin', you get your ass down here, or so help me..." Leonard growled, and you could hear the threat in his voice.Â
"Fine. FINE. Â I'll be right there, and not because you are threatening me like a child, but because it damn hurts." You snapped the com shut and pressed it to your forehead in frustration.Â
Striding down the hall to the medbay you could swear steam was coming out of your ears. Â You got a few wayward, curious glances as you marched down the hall in a full length gown, your hair half done and your face set with anger as you cradled your arm to your chest.Â
If you could have flung the door open, you would have, but you settled for angrily stomping through the automated doors into the medbay and straight up to Leonard who was talking to a nurse.Â
His eyebrow raised when you sauntered up, the nurse taking one look at you in your fancy gown, hand on hip, fury in your eyes and ducked away.Â
Leonard's eyes raked up and down your body and you tapped your heeled foot impatiently. Â
"You look gorgeous." He smirked and you scowled deeper at him.Â
"And you look like an asshole.  Why the hell are you still in your uniform?  We have to be down in the gala in 20 minutes." You snapped, crossing your arms unconsciously, accidentally putting pressure on the wound on your arm, which made you hiss and pull your arms away.Â
Leonard's gaze turned instantly from one of lust to one of concern as he took your wrist in his.  He pulled you over to a biobed and whisked out the dermal regenerator, quickly beginning it's work on your skin, and you cursed yourself as you watched his legendary hands.  The way he moved the device with such smooth and precise movements that could only have been due to his immense amount of practice and some damn steady hands, made you feel things. Â
Your mouth must have fallen open as you watched, because you felt Leonard's amused gaze on yours.Â
"See somethin' you like?" He voice was low and his accent was thick, stirring the butterflies in your stomach.Â
Though you tried to press your mouth into a tight line and glare at him as hard as you could, you couldn't help stop the grin that reached your lips at the cute little look on his face. Â
"So what happened again?" He asked.Â
You rolled your eyes, "I burned my arm with the hair straightener."
He chuckled, "You ought to be more careful, darlin'."
"It's not like I stuck it in my eye or something, Len, it was an accident."Â
"Well, still, that was a pretty bad burn."Â He finished up with the dermal regenerator, setting it down on the side table before turning back to you, his arms crossing over his chest.Â
"Beauty is pain." You grinned and smacked his cheek gently with your hand, "Well thanks for that, sweetheart," You pecked a kiss to his lips, "I'm back in one piece again, now let's run along and get you all prettied up before the gala."
Tugging his arm, you led him out of the medbay with surprisingly minimal protests, and you led him back to the room. Â
Half an hour later, you were both ready, Leonard looking sexy in his tux, and you looking classy and elegant in your full-length gown. Â
Leonard offered you his arm as you headed down to the hall, and excitement fluttered in your chest as you saw other crew members all dressed up for the occasion. Â Leonard smiled down at you, giving you a warm, fuzzy feeling that filled your heart and you leaned up and kissed his cheek. Â
Walking into the hall, you were amazed at the transformation, string lights strung up around the room, light music playing, chairs and tables set up around a dance floor, dozens of tables with heaping mounds of food lining the walls. Â
Leonard's arm slung down around your waist and his fingers brushed your ribs, making you giggle.Â
"They did a might-fine job in here, didn't they?" Leonard asked.Â
You hummed in response as you spotted Uhura across the hall, quickly pulling away from Leonard and crossing the room to embrace her with a few squeals of excitement at both of your gorgeous gowns. Â
The formal part of the gala was fun, a whole bunch of different crews from a whole bunch of different Starfleet ships all beamed aboard for the awards ceremony and you sat happily between Leonard and Sulu, chatting away to the rest of the table whilst dinner was consumed. Â Awards were given and speeches were made, and the atmosphere was light and happy as the band started up and people started moving to the dance floor.Â
"I can't believe Jim didn't win the Captain's award." Sulu shook his head as he took a bite off his breadstick.Â
"Yeah well that's what he gets for destroying the Enterprise on more than one occasion." You noted, and you heard Leonard snort and almost choke on his sip of whiskey.Â
"Yeah well it's still not fair." Sulu mumbled into his breadsticks.Â
"Did I hear my name over here?" A loud voice sounded from behind you seconds before a hand landed on your shoulder and a face appeared in between you and Leonard. Â
"Ah, Jim, Y/N here was just talking about the many times you blew up the Enterprise." Leonard stated, and you scowled at him, knowing all to well that if Jim wasn't between you, someone's arm would have been punched.Â
"Y/N! Â That's not very nice!" Jim gasped in mock horror and squeezed your shoulder, "I think you owe me a dance."
You met his smirk with a deadpan glare, "I don't owe you anything, Captain Destructo."
"That's it! Â You're dancing with me." Jim ordered, and you found yourself being pulled out of your chair, quickly setting your drink down as to not spill it.Â
"Hey! Â Jim! Â It's not fair if you get to dance with my girl first!" Leonard called, and you gave him a backwards glance and a shrug as Jim ignored his comment and continued to pull you towards the dance floor.Â
Sweeping you into his arms, Jim twirled you around the dance floor with ease and amazing agility, making you laugh when he sang along to the music and pulled you close. Â
"Iâm just gonna warn you, Jim, that Leonard might actually strangle you if your hand gets any lower, mister handsy." You teased, and felt Jim's hand slide back up to your waist.Â
"Yeah, well, If looks could kill I would be dead already." Jim strained, and when he spun you around you saw Leonard sitting at the table, the deadliest glare on his face, Sulu happily chatting to him on his left.Â
You laughed and gave Leonard a little finger wave before getting lost in the dancing crowd again with Jim. Â
After a few more songs with Jim, you pulled away and sauntered back to the table, making your way up to Leonard who was engaged in conversation with Sulu. Â When he saw you his face lit up and he excused himself from the table, leaving Sulu looking kind of disappointed at the sudden loss of a listening ear.Â
"Hell, I'm glad I got myself out of there." Leonard grumbled as he approached you and pressed a kiss to your cheek.Â
"Why?" You asked, reaching up and fixing his hair with your fingertips.Â
"Sulu was going on and on about some Epic Alex thing and I had no idea what was going on."
"Oh you mean an epicalyx, the base of some flowers that..." You explained.Â
"Don't you dare start!" He teased sternly and grabbed you by the waist, knocking you off balance but he kept you upright, "Dance with me."
"Are you sure you don't want to talk about epicalyxs.." You began but were cut off abruptly with Leonard's lips crashing into yours, spinning you into a heated kiss for a moment before pulling away, leaving you dizzy and tingly. Â
"Darlin', if I hear that word one more time you'll be sorry." His voice was low and rugged as he pressed his forehead to yours, his hazel eyes sparkling.Â
You smiled at him as the song changed, this time to a slow one, and you lead him to the dance floor, pulling him close, lavishing in the heat of his hands on your waist and hips. Â
"Iâm gonna kill Jim for stealing you away from me." Leonard griped.Â
"Why so jealous, Dr. McCoy?" You purred into his ear, stroking your fingers down his neck, making the tips of his ears turn red, "Don't worry, sweetheart, I am going to be dancing with you all night."
The corner of Leonard's lips turned upwards and you smothered his smile with a sultry kiss, and now it was your ears turning red, along with your cheeks, at the heat of the kiss.Â
Leonard pulled away, smiling, keeping your body pressed flush to his, "That's my girl."Â
