Hey guys!! Author sign-ups closed a few days ago, but we will still be accepting more betas and artists!

Remember, your art can be anything you want! Drawings, paintings, edits, manips, fanmixes, fanvids, whatever you can think of!! We just really need enough artists for our fics to all get an accompanying art piece. You get to choose the fic you make art for, and can even choose more than one if anyone requests to do so.

Betas, you will be randomly assigned fics to edit, based on your age and the content of the fic. The authors got the opportunity to ask what they want you to look out for, so it’s easier to manage.

I’m probably still OK to hit this, but I was wondering if there was a similar discrepancy with when the art is due, since the guidelines also list that as being due on the 29th? Is there a post somewhere which lists the updated schedule, so we can reference that post and/or send it to anyone who might not be seeing the asks?”

And to answer that: The fics are due for submission ten days before posting. They will be posted on September 29th. However, because people may run over/forget to submit/not submit correctly/have content that still needs to be edited/etc we really need those ten days to be there so that we have time to address any problems. Before summary submissions closed we had to track down at least a dozen people to remind them and the same with when were finding betas and artists. It’s just simpler than scrambling at the last minute. I hope this clears up any confusion. If not, please feel free to tell me where I lost you!

Alright guys so here’s the deal. One: Tyler and I are both teenagers who are full-time students and have other obligations besides this blog. Frankly, this blog is very low on the list of our obligations. Two: Over half of the people who are writing for the big bang have requested extensions/dropped/etc due to the “poorly communicated” deadline. Three: this is a fandom event. On Tumblr. It’s not like we’re duping you out of the chance of a lifetime to write for your favorite news provider/television show/whatever. 

It’s not that deep, y’all. I’m so very very sorry that this has inconvenienced you, but you could have requested extensions like everyone else. You could have been courteous, like everyone else. This is not a legitimate business enterprise or anything, it’s supposed to be fun. For fun. Maybe y’all haven’t heard of that. 

Feel free to post your fics on your own tumblrs and ao3′s, a lot of hard work went into them. Tag us and we’ll reblog, if you’re so inclined.

Also “poorly communicated” deadline. The deadline was set and COMMUNICATED from the very beginning. When y’all asked, we told you “September 29th.” What part of that is POORLY communicated?

You can’t scream poorly communicated when we have repeated it several times over the past few months.
