#sketchbook September 2021. I have been a fan of Meshell Ndegeocello since the first time I heard the debut record (Plantation Lullabies) back in the 90s (technically even before then, because I had a copy of Steve Coleman's "Dropkick" album which she plays on but I didn't realize that she played on it). It is impossible for her to produce bad material, and every release has something new and interesting to dive into. I recently pre ordered one of my favorite records of hers, "Bitter" as it's finally being reissued on vinyl, which basically inspired me to #doodle this using a Pentel parallel pen, and a credit color graphite pencil, then running it through Prisma which seems to be working again, if only passibly. #art #drawingpractice #mbase (at SoFA District) https://www.instagram.com/p/CT__J4Hl8C0/?utm_medium=tumblr
