#Repost @davidrobsonayct with @repostapp. ・・・ Day 4⃣ of #MayTheFloatBeWithYou is the Jump Forward From Downward Dog. This is the seventh and fifteenth vinyasa of the Suryanamaskara, or Sun Salutations. This video shows an exercise I teach my students to get them used to the feeling of jumping forward while pressing with the hands. 1. From Downward Dog, lift your chin and bend your knees. 2. Press into your hands and keep the arms straight. 3. Take a small hop forward, then press into your hands and fingers to push yourself back to your starting position. 4. Repeat the hop, progressively going further forward with the hips each time. 5. Finally, jump forward and, keeping the knees slightly bent, flex the hips to bring the thighs and torso together. 6. Keep pressing into your hands, chin up, curl your hips down to bring the feet to the floor. Good luck! Don't smash your face! 😵 No matter what your level of ability, join us on this fun challenge.
