SURPRISE!! I wasn’t expecting to get this done as quickly given that I’ve had so many problems with my hands recently (yes, more medical issues 😭😭) but this guy refused to be silenced!!

It took forever and a day but my medical issues are under control again. Hand issues are being addressed (and are currently doing better) and side effects from the COVID vaccines are abating. Which is all a long way to say I’m writing again (among other surprises TBD). 🥳🥳🥳

“I thought… I thought… who said anything about the bets?” She questioned softly, desperately grappling her mind for a coherent thought that wasn’t pure panic. 

“You do! Every damn day! This-this isn’t fun for me,” Inuyasha replied, lowering his voice, ears drooping at the same time. “I-I can’t keep doing this.”

“I don’t-”

“I like you,” he interrupted. “Okay? I fucking like you. This hurts!” 

Kagome stood in silence for a moment, letting his words wash over her repeatedly in her mind - ‘I like you, I like you, I like you, I like you’ - before looking back at him. ---------
