Nicake Timeline May 2024
Throughout May, Nicola appears to have a brief window between work and travel, which may have allowed for some downtime before her next commitments. Nicola and Jake were still under the radar for most fans, so any early interactions were likely missed.
14 May 2024 Nicola is in NYC for the Bridgerton premiere. Jake started using the Popup Bagels bucket hat as his IG profile photo.
18 May 2024 Nicola is in Brazil for Bridgerton press. Jake shares the song The Louvre by Lorde. The Louvre is a song about the rush of new love and the intensity of early connection. It captures the feeling of being completely consumed by someone. Nicola shares Birds of a Feather. is a song about deep emotional attachment and choosing someone fully even when the future feels uncertain. BOAF was also used in a lot of Polin edits during this time so it is possible that she shared as a nod to Polin. However, I don't think so. The shared songs could be a coincidence at this point, but over time a pattern emerges of both of them sharing music during periods when they appear to be apart. Both of these songs appear on Nicola's Spotify 'JD' Playlist that fans will later discover, making it even more likely that this share is for Jake.
Late May There are online rumours about Nicola being in Spain during this period. While her presence there is unconfirmed, Jake is confirmed in Spain at the time, and the timing lines up with a short break before Nicola’s next stop on the press tour.
30 May 2024 Jake shares stories from Spain where he is again seen wearing the Popup Bagels bucket hat. With Nicola having worn the same hat just days later on June 2nd, it seems possible that she took a quick break in Spain with Jake before jetting off to the next destination.
