The one thing that I genuinely find the most irrational about the selection was killing off Celeste and Anne. Even Anne I guess I understand a little, but Celeste..? It couldve been any of the other girls the shock value is all the writer wanted. And so, that annoys me a lot. I am sad about Queen Amberly but the Celeste one just seems like the most selfish thing to write into a book.

I think the Schreave children are only half white at the most when you consider that Maxon is half latino (from his mother’s side) and America is at least half Jewish (from her father’s side).
