Remember, it doesn’t matter how deep into a posture you go – what does matter is who you are when you get there.

Learn not to define yourself by what you are against; instead, define yourself by expressing with your actions and your words what you are for. It is easy to criticize, but this has little value, for it is usually not wanted, and therefore not listened to. It is of more benefit to praise that which is praiseworthy, to speak of the greatness of things. There are plenty of others to do the criticizing.

you yourself are the central avenue for change in this world. do you wish for there to be no war? then eliminate any trace of violence in yourself. do you want the world to be more ethical? then develop a code of behavior and become an exemplar of that code. do you want the world to be more compassionate to the downtrodden? show us how it is done. this is the behavior of one who is on the path toward becoming a being of light. this is the path we are all called to live.
