I think this is my best one yet. I added the light streaks in photoshop because I was suddenly afraid of fucking up my whole drawing and needed to get it done to get it printed for the next con.

Another hint (I forgot to mention)about Will subconsciously being responsible for upsidedown & the mindflayer -who is actually 'Will the wise' .Is...

Mirkwood (what the boys called the woods in s1) . It's a forrest from "lord of the rings" and is controlled by the "necromancer " (cough -zombie boy). And in the woods/mirkwood , is castle byers. Will's password for c.b. is 'rhadaghast'- a lord of the rings wizard that controls animals and nature in the woods. Mirkwood is also called ' forrest of darkness " and "the shadow of dol gudur" (shadow monster aka mf). It's like how in s1 mr clarke said the" plane of shadow" (upsidedown) was created by "necrotic' (zombie boy) and "shadow magic" (shadow monster/mf).

If you wandered away from the pre- paved path in mirkwood- the forest soon began twisting minds, to either hallucinate or feel weakened.

So I wonder if that comes into play in s4 for our Hawkins gang in mirkwood??

since again everything Will seems to watch mirrors the supernatural. Poltergeist ,jaws,d&d (s1), dig dug, ghost busters, d&d (s2), day of the dead, the thing , d&d (s3).
