#MavGrad2016 Fall Cap Design Contest Official Rules
How to enter:
Graduating Mavericks can submit their grad cap designs during the entry period via social media or email:
Social Media: Post a picture of your decorated cap publicly on your personal Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. Post MUST include the hashtag #MavGrad2016 and tag the UTA account on that platform (Facebook, Twitter or Instagram). We cannot see private posts; as such, those submissions will not be entered into the contest.
Email: Send a picture of your decorated cap via email to [email protected]. Email MUST be from an @mavs.uta.edu email address and include your first and last name.
Contest Timing
Entry period: Thursday, Dec. 1 at 11 a.m.–Sunday, Dec. 11 at 5 p.m.
Voting period: Monday, Dec. 12 at 10 a.m.–Thursday, Dec. 15 at 10 a.m.
Winners announced: Friday, Dec. 16
Voting
All eligible entries will be uploaded to a #MavGrad2016 album on the UTA Facebook page after the entry period finishes. Voting will commence on Monday, Dec. 12 at 10 a.m. (CST). The UTA community will vote by “liking” their favorite grad cap design. All Facebook reactions will count as votes. Voting ends Thursday, Dec. 15 at 10 a.m.
Winner Selection
The contest entry with the most votes at the end of the voting period will be the first place prize package winner. The contest entries with the second and third most votes will win the second and third place packages, respectively. Winners will be notified through the platform (email, Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter) they used to submit their entry. Winners will have seven days to respond. If a winner doesn’t respond within seven days, the contest entry with the next highest votes will win.
Eligibility
This contest is open to all UTA students graduating during the 2016 Fall Commencement ceremonies. Students who graduated in August 2016 from UTA are also eligible to participate. By participating in this contest, you agree that UTA may use your submitted photo and post content for marketing and advertising purposes. This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.
