The 7th track on the album Amok.
Recently released by Atoms For Peace. A supergroup led by Thom Yorke of Radiohead fame, featuring as well Flea of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nigel Godrich, a consistent Radiohead producer and member of Here We Go Magic, also in the band is the drummer of Beck and REM, Joey Waronker and chucked into the mix is Mauro Refosco, Brazilian percussionist.Â
If you haven't heard anything by Atoms For Peace yet, you'd probably associate the sound somewhat with recent Radiohead material (probably cause of Thom Yorke's name) and you wouldn't be far off. But it's much more electronic that anything you'd find in King Of Limbs or Kid A. The album is extremely layerd and the production behind this is immense, I can just imagine them in the studio tweaking compressors and effects units for what seems like ages trying to get the right sound. Despite that, the album is fairly minimal as well, there's not much colour, but if you're a fan of sound, you'll enjoy it. A very chilled out, downbeat, fat sound. Driven by Afrobeat music
