7. longest completed fic you wrote this year

“Done with the Compass, Done with the Chart” (Grace/Frankie | 30,546 words) is my longest fic from this year (also my longest fic ever), but I wrote the bulk of it in 2017.

“Come Disconnect the Dots” (Grace/Frankie | 17,935 words) is the longest fic I started and finished in 2018. 

14. a fic you didn’t expect to write

Ha, well, for some reason I didn’t expect to match on the fandom I matched on for my Yuletide fic, so I even though I was conscious and awake while volunteering to write for that fandom, it was still a surprise when I actually had to write the story. A good surprise, though!

And while I was writing that story, I accidentally wrote the Grace/Frankie story “seeing that the sun was not going to warm us” as a way to let off steam or return to the familiar or something, so I guess I didn’t expect to write that one either!

21. most memorable comment/review

I got a lot of really wonderful, generous comments this year, and they made my day every time. I think the most memorable comments in general were on the last chapter of “Done with the Compass, Done with the Chart,” on “Come Disconnect the Dots,” and any time I wrote a story for someone and the recipient responded. <3 Y’all know who you are, and thank you!

Oh, and one super generous reader read and commented on every single chapter of every single Grace and Frankie story I’ve ever posted in a matter of just a couple days, and receiving those comments in my inbox was such a lovely and exciting gift.

28. longest fic you read this year

It’s gotta be my reread of “anyone who has become” (Grace/Frankie) by @ellydash. Talk about a perpetual fave. <333333

💚: who tends to get sick more often? who is better at taking care of the other?

i think that they’d be pretty equal here… although the mother in kate probably rears its head and wins out here in the end. i mean, she offers to take moira in even though she knows carson would probably hate it and she agrees to put her whole family in danger just to help moira out on a case……. so yeah i think kate is definitely the type of person to jump in and want to take care of moira. plus it’s obvious from her letters that she hates the fact that moira is still beating herself up over michael’s death. i think kate cared A LOT about moira’s well-being, especially her mental health, and that translated into her taking care of her when she was unwell (although let’s be real, both of them were highly active spies, they probably ignored every single cold they got because they just had to power through).

💟: who spends time reading their zodiac compatibilities?

neither of them would take it seriously, BUT i could totally see kate doing this one of those many times she was bored on a case/in the safe house and had little to do but comb through newspapers and the internet and whatever books she had at her disposal (and then leave moira a farcical note in that journal they communicated through about how the universe has cosmically decided that they’re well-suited, but prone to squabbles). also, we know that both of them started out as journalists, so let’s just entertain the idea of one of them getting their start writing horoscopes and the other finding out and thinking it HILARIOUS

💌: who is more likely to send cutesy texts to the other?

sriracha alfredo pasta sounds like a GIFT FROM CHRIST HIMSELF. is there a recipe?

it is a SARAH NOTBECAUSEOFVICTORIES ORIGINAL(tm) which means it is super easy, not at all time intensive, and requires fewer than five ingredients

take 1 box of pasta + jar of alfredo pasta sauce (which brand? any of them) + sriracha sauce

make pasta like you usually make pasta, then drain. dump alfredo sauce over pasta. toss, while adding in the sriracha sauce to your desired heat level.
