We took apart a Royal Pedic latex mattress that retails for around 7000 dollars to see what is actually inside. This mattress was about ten years old and still in decent condition, so we broke down the cotton layers, fire barrier, tufting, and solid latex core to evaluate durability, pressure relief, and overall construction quality.
