— I. background

AGILA DIMALANTA's husband was often away. still, PIERRE SEYRES was not a bad man, even if his odd behaviour for the past six months and sudden unexplained disappearances resulted in sore disappointment. an once-honest office worker, acting erratic and rash. when he did return, however, it was without prior notice. she found him pacing their apartment's living room, muttering to himself akin to maddened man. him, an injured man, on her leather couch. Agila got out her flipper when Pierre stopped her. pleading: "Honey, I can explain- Please put the flipper down." and went on a long rambling (truly improbable) tale of robots, simulations, and- "Our world is a construct of lies built upon-" "I'm pregnant." "What." "What." unbeknownst to the newly converted husband, she had a child. theirs. a daughter. Pierre tried his best to visit his family as much as he could, despite his status as part of Zion's resistance. Agila tried to aid his tales of "business trips" across the country during their daughter's childhood, but it did little to quell the disappointment of young NOEL, who merely wanted her father's presence like all normal kids do.

ANESIDORA, or commonly known as PANDORA, was the creation of HEPHAESTUS as a punishment of the sin PROMETHEUS bore from stealing the fire from Zeus. the first human woman, she roamed the world with a mysterious jar (a pithos) that contained the ails and evils of the world. a "beautiful evil". traits intricately woven into every fibre of her being by the gods. a ticking time bomb, capable of unleashing havoc onto the very earth she steps on at any moment if she so wills it. that was the name and inspiration of the innate code woven into one entity. and for each cycle of the system, the entity was always present, always looping in the same fate like its predecessors; there unleashes a plague detrimental to any attempts to resist against the Gods, and her own fate lies in death, only to reincarnate once more. ISAIAH 54:16 states, "Behold, I have created the smith who blows the coals in the fire, and that brings forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy".  and thus the "HEPHAESTUS" has created his magnum opus within the his governing realm. a tool of his. the capability of both creation and destruction, that even he finds himself captivated in the allure of the ingenuity of his mind. an infiltrator. a mole in the resistance of humankind. his.

"LIVIA" was the first to uncover the truth. And "Livia" was keen on utilising the entity for her benefit. therefore, when she found the unfortunate girl on the streets, whose entire existence was to be an unwitting spy, she knew she had to snatch PANDORA from the grasp of the smith and mold the code to backfire against its master.

"Livia" knew she hit jackpot. but she also knew of the dangers from the smith himself. after all, which craftsman would be pleased to have his magnum opus stolen by a no-good thief? in her mind, the best was to indoctrinate the young woman. even fleas know not to jump above the jar if suppressed for long enough. still, it didn't stop the young PANDORA to revere her mentor; no matter how the parasitic worms writhed in her mind that craved for discord, "Livia" helped soothe them. young Noel, or Boots (as she wore purple-laced boots when "Livia" first met her), was smitten. and when the time came for her mentor's long-overdued demise, she wept.

jaded was she who once blindly followed the "false" shepherd like a lost lamb. snarky and numbed, her moral compass fell into nothing but self-preservation and a self-serving attitude. Noel's mind came to the sobering revelation of the sadistic and unforgiving way she had been molded by the society around her. still, her humanity stayed hanging, though frayed and unstable. PERCY ("PERSEUS") LOCKLEY was the name of the newcomer who entered Zion. illegitimate son of some rich millionaire, he was a bitter yet determined young man who soon latched onto Noel for advice and help. he was there when Noel reunited and lost her father after all. he was like a younger brother to her, and a part of her despised the idea of tainting the younger folk's blazing indignation and determination against the unjust world. and so she stayed by him. and he stayed by her, scowling at anyone who dared to threaten him or his now adoptive sister. and when Noel's life as a rebel started gaining the Agents' notice (as a ship captain, as Smith's "long"-lost mole, Percy fought alongside her. he was the one true family she had left in this lonesome fate.
