So the thought of this is. And I am going to be 100% transparent. I have done literally 30 seconds of research.
Regina ends up in a wayward school for girls, due to *gestures* in air reasons. Lack of Family, attitude issues. Either or, both. And she's just there causing problems for the nuns etc. she doesn't want to be there, wants her old life back.
One night, she's disrespecting the curfew, and has left the convent, wandering around the woods surrounding it and comes across a pink haired girl bathed in moonlight.
Enter mathilda. A recently turned vampire (maybe last 20-30 years, but it's been a blur she does not remember at all. So like bloodthirst prior to this, she's not proud of what she assumes has happened, but is thankful she cant remember any of it) who is hungry but not desperate enough to attack regina, but she is terrified of what she could do. She refuses to feed off of regina.
And regina doesn't realize the danger she is in, and really, how could she? There's this petite pink haired girl right in front of her. Mathilda ends up dashing off, (because Regina smells divine.) yelling at Regina to stay away.
Regina, obviously, does not do that. Seeking out mathilda, she still doesnt know what mathilda is, but knows she is not human due to her movement and speed. Mathilda is always quick to brush her off and leave.
Regina ends up getting caught sneaking out and punished for it, being locked into her room at night. Its odd that she stops running into Mathilda, and curiosity gets the better of her and she goes in search of Regina, finding her way to window and somehow is right outside like hovering or whayever
And Regina runs to the window, staring at her, and opens the window, waiting for Mahilda to enter, but she doesn’t just stay right outside.
“Well what are you waiting for?”
“An invitation.”
And so they start hanging out. Regina finds out Mathilda is a vampire, and begs her to turn her. And mathilda is like “oh i cant do that. Its an awful thing. A lonely thing. You wouldnt want this.”
And regina being that edgy teenager is like WHAT DO YOU MEAN? It sounds fun. Going around sucking people’s blood, stalking around in the dark, being in control of your own life.
But mathilda is adamant that she is NEVER going to turn Regina, but she does feed off of her, when things get bad ™. She isnt able to get any type of sustenance and is starving and a little delirious the night she visits regina, like clockwork. Shes struggling from bloodthirst, and regina smells divine. But she fights it, refusing that she would never do that. But to Regina its no big deal and its uncomfortable watching Mathilda suffering, shes sweaty (AND WHEN DO VAMPIRE SWEAT) even paler than usual, her eyes are dim, almost white in color, much different than their usual rosey pink. Regina holds out her neck, and mathilda shakes her head, she cant she cant.
But regina insists. And that uncomfortable feeling worsens, watching mathilda fight herself over it. But ultimately gives in, but not the neck, NEVER the neck. (She doesnt say why, cant even articulate why.) And Regina just wants Mathilda to feed and go back to being who she was. She doesnt care where she’s bitten if it means mathilda is fed, and offers up her arm, Mathilda ends up feeding from her wrist.
She feeds just enough to come back to her sanity. Though she knows she could easily drain Regina and feel satisfied and as clear headed as ever, finally full, but she doesn't. She cant betray that trust so she takes just enough
She does explain afterwards why she cant feed from regina’s neck. If she feeds from the neck that would turn Regina into a vampire. The farther away from the brain the safer it is, so if they ever have to do this again, the calf would probably be better than the wrist.
(Also this is where mathilda starts crushing on regina)
Sprinkles angst.
Mathilda realizes quickly the feelings she is harboring for regina and knows knows that this is going to hurt her, because regina is human, and mathilda cant be that fucking selfish. She cant just expect regina to agree to become a vampire and live out her life with her. So she starts taking some breaks. Doesnt visit regina every day. She go a day or two, maybe a week before she finds herself outside the covent window, waiting for permission to enter.
She hates that she has to stay away and it hurts her still heart.
Mathildas absence initially pisses regina off but then it turns to hurt and revelation she also likes mathilda back. But in typical yuri fashion they wont admit their feelings,
Time passage whatever. Something happens and theres talks about transferring Regina to another location. The current location is going to close something. Either way it meant that Regina was going to be taken away. It gets VERY dark.
I'm running out of time so just keeping it at that.
They start panicking. Regina does not want to leave Mathilda and she does not want to be shipped off to a new location so far away from where she grew up. Mathilda does not want to lose the one person she has in her lonely life, but she knows it's selfish to want to keep Regina around. She knows how she can keep Regina around and it haunts her how easy it would be to keep her.
