I think about time a lot cuz it is the most prevalent use of numbers and calculations in normal day life — we function with units of measurement that exist in two different numeric codes: base 10 and base 60

In a way the use of the conversion factor 1hr = 60min allows for a number system that means only “digits” 0-59 exist — once the “decimal” reaches 00:59, the next increment is 01:00

HOWEVER within that, 0-59 exists because of base 10, only digits 0-9 exist — 0.9 goes to 1.0
