Alaïa, Kai and I teamed up to prepare the materials workshop in preperation of making our own material passport. We chose three materials to research:
Aluminium (used by all three of us in different applications)
Trevira CS (used by Kai and I)
3D printed PHA (used by Alaïa and Kai)
We discussed our research together with Marieke and Paul during the workshop. Afterwards, we could start on making our own material passport.

In the process of developing my design for the shelves, I ordered some samples of vinyl foil which could be used to cover the aluminium shelves. I ordered them off of Plakfoliewebshop.nl.
The samples really helped me decide on the colour and material of the foil, which I also incorporated in the preperations for making the material passport.
Flannel is a soft, medium-weight cotton fabric that has a napped, or fuzzy, brushed finish on both sides.Â
I choose this fabric because it is known for its extreme softness and warmth, which is a result of the loosely spun yarn, and it is usually used to make bed sheets, and sleepwear.

Fabric testing
Tencel Drill Clo testing
It does not look the same soft as a real fabric, maybe some more adjustments needed or I made a mistake testing it. It is also seams like I mixed up warp and weft results (not sure).
Digitising a Tencell Drill fabric with Vizoo. Not a perfect execution but that was an interesting experience.
