ever thought about how masumi and tenma were both always alone but, while masumi felt his parents' total absence, tenma felt their overwhelming presence.
masumi, for better or worse, was allowed to do whatever he pleased. only as long as his parents didnt change their minds, of course, but he could still do whatever he wanted.
meanwhile, tenma's parents were also always busy with work and/or overseas, but tenma could not do anything that would worsen his (and his parents) public image. tenma has been on the screen since he was a child. everyone knows him. he is not allowed to be "rebellious" or forget about what others will think like masumi did.
just. you know. its interesting to think about how two characters with very similar family situations end up having completely opposite experiences, though theyre still alike in some ways. i hope a3 properly explores this in an event someday. it would be nice.
