AU list - thoughts in each idea below are to help creatively only and are not plot requirements.

1)

Royalty and Specialist Protection Branch of London’s Metropolitan Police Service (aka Principal Protection Office) Police Sargent (demoted from Captain but climbing ladder again) John Watson becomes embroiled in government and personal intrigue while protecting Mycroft Holmes.

(Can be Johnlock or Johncroft) Mature level, or higher if possible.

In the style of but not necessary to be faithful at all to Bodyguard (2018)

Royal Veterinary Doctor John Watson meets the Holmes brothers (or Lestrade) when a situation occurs requiring:

A) dogs… military drug and explosive dogs onsite.

Wiki: “…RAVC are also responsible for explosives and drug search dogs….”

or

B) or… military horses need to be deployed for rescue operation where helicopters or diplomacy cannot go.

Wiki: “…Although there is unlikely ever be a significantly large requirement for equines in future military operations, there are scenarios where ground conditions, (in situations where stealth is required or helicopters are not available for example), could make pack transport a vital solution to the need.[1]…”

3)

Cooking/Food AU. (Johnlock or Johnstrade or Johncroft)

Satisfying A Sweet Tooth or something… part of idea not necessarily the title…

Sherlock or Mycroft or Lestrade, crashing physically after not eating for a case, goes in to a bakery John owns that happens to be near the crime scene. John is a previous The Great British Baking Show contestant. He didn’t win, but he did have him watching religiously.

Teacher AU but Sherlock is only undercover. Angst? Misunderstandings? Happy ending? Up to you.

Love sports AUs.

John’s a washed up champion squash player having a drink driving conviction has to volunteer at a youth center to satisfy the court. Something happens that John and Sherlock literally run in to each other… stopping a child kidnap? Child trafficking going through the manager of the center focusing pn homeless kids?

Another sport AU -

Professional/Olympic horse jumper or pro cross country horse jumper.

Horse jumper - “…get paid between 1,000 and 2,000 pounds per event, also while taking care, feed, train the horses they ride….”

Meets Sherlock investigating the owner of horses he rides? Or insurance scam? Or spy ring that uses international travel etc.

Or Cricket player John. Since Sherlock doesn’t care about the rules, no need to write much about them. The only thing I think I know is that the ball literally can be hit in any direction.

6)

Radio DJ or talk-show presenter. Any topic.

7)

Retro AU, teenlock (aka After School Special). John Watson works in a used record store (vinyl and CDs). Sherlock is new in town, trying to broaden his musical horizons and social skills in order to fit in at his new posh school. John lives, works and goes to school in a rough neighborhood.
