Zhou Zishu opened his mouth ever-so-slightly to respond, but ultimately decided to remain silent.
"It's just," Wen Kexing mused, "I think I'd remember a man as beautiful as you, and yet here you are. Sitting right in front of me. And everything in me tells me you know me, yet how could I not remember you?"
"That would be the question, wouldn't it?" Zhou Zishu said despite himself.
"Aha! So you do know me." A brilliant smile flashed across Wen Kexing's face. "I take it we are close?"
"You guess incorrectly."

This fic is near and dear to my heart. I absolutely loved working with my artist for SHLBB on this, and their work actually inspired a few small storyline changes.
I love the concept of TC!ZZS & GVM!WKX meeting before they do in canon. It’s a lot of fun to play with, and there are so many places to go with it. This particular fic was born at the meeting place between temporary amnesia trope in which one innately trusts one’s old lover, and good ol’ enemies to lovers. I think it’s a fun and fresh perspective, and WenZhou were the perfect couple to fit this scenario. I can only hope that I did both the pairing and the concept justice.
