Gamma Family upgrades! After getting the incredible #marvellegends 80th Anniversary #hulk, along with a savage #shehulk figure that is also really cool despite being a reworking of the excellent gray She-Hulk figure, I decided the villains needed some worthy upgrades. The #abomination is from the #marvelselects line—and the first from that line I’ve handled. I knew this would make him a little oversized, but he’s supposed to be a big bruiser even when compared to the Hulk, since at baseline he’s stronger than ol’ Jade Jaws (it’s the adrenaline surges that give our hero the edge). He looks great and is surprisingly heavy—so much so he could almost be a murder weapon (Mrs. Peacock in the Conservatory with the Abomination toy FTW.) He looks great, but his articulation is sadly lacking, which I guess is typical for a Marvel Selects toy. #theleader , who is a Marvel Legends toy, is a fun retro throwback who was a lot of fun to pose. I’ll need to dig out my old #toybiz era Abomination again to see how he compares, but overall I’m pleased with this group!
