Hello. I was the one who requested the Thor x male reader and I absolutely loved what you came up with.
I know requests are closed right now but can you please do a part 2 of the Thor x male reader angst? Maybe continue what was left and also maybe Steve Rogers and the male reader have their moment together? Like can it literally pick up right where this one left off but have the same feel as this one? If that makes sense, and you can choose what happens to Jennifer and Thor.
I hate you pt2

"She'll live."
Those two words.
Those two words should bring joy, shouldn't they?
They don't.
Not to y/n they don't.
Steve has been trying to reach y/n for the past week.
Ever since that mission, everyone's been off.
Especially the people who were affected by the voices.
They still haven't figured out what those voices were, but they were the reason why their comms suddenly had high-pitched ringing that made Clint's ears bleed and why all their machines didn't cooperate.
The team just doesn't know how to prove it.
That's what concerns Steve the most.
He overheard Natasha talking with y/n about the voices. And he's scared that y/n is still being strongly affected.
"Y/n..." Natasha's voice was low and careful as she walked up to y/n in the Quinjet.
They were on their way home from the mission.
Y/n was yet again in his dark corner, where he hoped no one would bother him. But the black widow had other plans.
She sat down next to him and didn't speak for a moment. She just copied the man by staring at the wall ahead of them.
After a moment of silence, the widow spoke up again.
"Y/n... Who did you hear?" Her voice is quiet, as if she wasn't sure that her question would be welcomed.
Her question caught y/n off guard.
He looks at her, wondering how she knew.
"I know because I heard one of the teachers from the red room."
She explained when she saw his surprise.
"Oh..." Y/n whispered and looked away.
Another beat of silence passed by.
"I heard Steve... And Wanda..." Y/n whispered as he looked down.
The widow looked at him with a thin smile. She should've expected it to be them.
"They kept telling me to go down and help her."
That caused the assassin to frown.
"They... what?" She's confused. The voices weren't supposed to help anyone.
"They wanted you to help? Why did you leave then?" Her question caused y/n to frown this time.
"The voice told me to leave."
"Wait, you heard the voice separately?" The widow's eyes widened.
"...You didn't?" The man looked at her.
"None of us did. The only people who heard voices said that the voice was of someone they felt obliged to listen to at some point in their life."
Y/n stared at the redheaded woman, dumbfounded.
"I..."
"What did the voice sound like?" She immediately started to question.
"It...It didn't sound like anything. It was just a voice. Then it started channeling." Y/n looked at his hands as he thought back on the earlier encounter.
"Channeling?" The widow looked at the wall ahead and tried to imagine it.
The man gave a subtle nod. "Yeah... As it talked, it kept going in waves... From masculine to feminine... Like autotune or something. After he decided to use Steve and Wanda as the voices from the angel side." He explained.
"The angel side? Like... Angel on the right shoulder sort of deal?" She looked at the man.
He nodded and kept explaining.
"Yeah... And the voice came from the left. So when the voice settled with Steve and Wanda, it started channeling its own voice." He looked at the widow to see if she was still listening.
"As if it didn't know how to talk..." Natasha whispered.
He nodded.
"Did it settle?" She asked.
"I'm not sure... It... Stopped a mix. It sounded like multiple people talking in sync. But I don't know what that would mean..." He sighed.
"You used to be a people pleaser, ya know..."
Her words were true.
Maybe that's why y/n ended up like this.
Steve walked into his apartment, hoping that this time y/n would be inside.
But when he opens the door, he finds the apartment empty again.
He has thought of trying y/n's house, but why would he go back there after avoiding it?
The old man sighed and took a seat on his couch.
"Where are you y/n..."
The man was shivering.
It's been raining all day, and he's drenched.
Y/n is in the middle of the woods.
He doesn't know why or when, or how he got here.
At one moment, he was just mindlessly walking to clear his head, and in another moment, he found himself in the middle of the woods where it was too dark to know which way to go.
He fished his phone out of his bag and tried to dial Steve's number.
No connection.
"Crap..." Y/n muttered as he looked around.
The forest had suddenly gone quiet.
The man sighed and looked up at the crying sky.
"You'll freeze to death, you know."
The man rolled his eyes and looked around again.
"You should go right."
He doesn't respond and looks to his right. It definitely looks more familiar than the rest.
Reluctantly, y/n started to walk right.
"You know, maybe we should've delayed the jet. If she got to the hospital one minute late, she wouldn't be here."
"Shut up," Y/n whispered as he kept walking.
"Hopefully, she won't make it to her wedding."
"Shut up!" Y/n yelled.
The forest started to make sounds again.
The wind rustled the leaves of the trees.
The birds started to chirp.
And the rain has gotten softer.
"Turn right."
Although y/n sighed, he still turned right and kept walking.
His arms snaked around his body.
"You're still hurting."
Y/n ignored it and kept walking.
"You can't tell me that you're happy she survived."
"I'm not."
"You sure? Because I don't feel you thriving."
"Just shut up!"
Y/n finally snapped at the voice that's been following him since the mission.
It got quiet again.
Suddenly, y/n starts to feel uncomfortable in the silence.
"...How do you know which way to go anyway..." Y/n sighed as he tried to get the voice to talk again.
"I know everything." The voice sounded frank.
"Will you ever tell me what you are?" The man questioned as he walked along a newly found path.
"No."
Silent beeping rang through the Avenger's medbay.
Thor stood with Bruce outside Jennifer's medical room.
"She still hasn't woken up," Banner whispered as if he were afraid of his own words.
The god's eyes were hooded, tired.
Tears at the verge of spilling.
He didn't know what to do anymore.
He's convinced that this is karma.
That he's the one to blame.
The one to blame after all he has done to y/n.
This is just the universe making him pay the consequences of his actions.
"Her vitals are in good condition," Bruce informed, hoping it would cheer the god up.
But Thor is too out of it.
With a sigh, Bruce patted the god's back before he left.
Thor stood alone in the dark hallway as he stared through the window into the room.
He watched his fiancée breathe through tubes.
Not a sound.
Not a laugh.
All he heard was his own heartbeat and the quiet beeping behind the glass.
He stood like that for hours.
Until he felt someone stand beside him.
By the faded reflection in the window, he could recognise Natasha anywhere.
"It never comes to an end. Does it...?" He whispered.
She doesn't respond.
She looks over Jennifer's sleeping body.
"Have you seen y/n...?" Thor's whispered question caught the wisow off guard.
She looks at him.
She studies his unmoving posture. His red, tired eyes.
He still hasn't looked away from his fiancée.
"No... Not since we came back." The widow whispered as she looked at the sleeping woman as well.
Thor nodded and closed his eyes.
"Did you talk to him?" He asked.
"I did. But not about you." She responded and crossed her arms.
Silence surrounded them again.
"I need to talk to him," Thor whispered.
For the first time, he tore his eyes away from his fiancée.
He looked at Natasha with grief.
"I don't think he'd like that." She argued.
"I know, but I have to-" "Thor no." She cut him off sternly.
The god huffed with frustration and looked at his fiancée again.
They stand in silence again. Watching the beeping monitors in the dim room.
That's when Thor noticed something move out of the corner of his eye.
At first, it was just a movement of a shadow.
He didn't think much of it, but then he saw a face.
His eyes widened as he watched the figure walk towards the medical bed where his fiancée was sleeping.
"What the-" Natasha whispered before her eyes widened.
"Y/n." She gasped as she watched the man stand the the foot of Jennifer's bed.
"Y/n." Thor said a bit louder.
He doesn't know if the man can hear him, but he has to try.
Both Natasha nd Thor were worried about y/n's intentions. But they couldn't bring themselves to move.
Jennifer's vitals got louder.
The beeping got faster.
It's like she knows y/n is there.
So close to her.
Thor's breath got caught in his throat. He doesn't know what to do.
Suddenly, they heard fast and loud footsteps running down the hallway, causing both Thor and Natasha to look away from y/n.
It's Bruce and Dr Cho. They were probably monitoring Jennifer's vitals and immediately rushed here when they started to act up.
But when Thor looked back into the room.
Y/n was gone.
"What happened?" Bruce questioned.
"Y/n did what?!" Tony raised his voice in surprise as the Avengers gathered in the meeting room.
"Did he harm her?" Vision asked.
"No. He just stood there." Natasha explained and crossed her arms.
"How did he get inside?" Clint's question made everyone silent.
"We don't know..." Thor answered after a moment of silence.
"What do you mean you don't know?" Tony was clearly annoyed.
"We don't know, okay?" The god was starting to get frustrated as well.
Natasha can sense the tension building up between the men.
Her arms drop to her sides as she gets ready to stop any possible fights.
"Why don't we check the footage?" She suggested.
Tony seemed to think about it.
"Friday." He called, and the AI already pulled up the footage on a nearby screen.
The footage was normal.
It showed the inside of the room, with Thor standing behind the window, talking to Bruce.
It showed how Thor stood unmoving until the widow joined him.
But when the footage reached the moment y/n supposedly broke into the room, it glitched out.
"Friday," Tony called out.
"It's not me, sir. That's part of the footage." The AI answered with a calm yet slightly panicked tone of voice.
The room went quiet again as the Avengers watched the lighting footage.
However, the sound was still there.
They could hear the frantic beeping of Jennifer's heart monitor.
When y/n was gone, the footage came back on.
"So we know nothing," Clint stated as he looked around the room.
"What do we not know?" Steve asked from the doorway.
He was out on a run and has just arrived.
"Y/n appeared in the building, and we don't know how."
Steve's eyes could fall out of his head with the way they widened.
"Y/n is here?" He seemed hopeful.
"Was. He disappeared as fast as he arrived." Natasha explained as she nodded towards the repeating footage.
The captain was filled with disappointment.
"I take it that y/n hasn't stayed at your apartment recently." Bruce sighed.
"No... He has not..." Steve sighed as well and sat down.
"Steve?"
Y/n's voice echoed through the empty apartment.
He looked around the dark room.
"No one's home."
"Oh, really." Y/n huffed at the voice's remark and walked towards the kitchen.
He was starving.
When he found some leftovers, he immediately heated them up.
He ate in silence.
The room remained dark as he took small bites. He can't remember when he had food.
How long has he been wandering around?
He doesn't track the time.
That's why he doesn't hear the front door opening.
It's when he hears his name being whispered.
His head snapped up.
Steve is standing in the doorway of the kitchen. His eyes are wide and scared. He didn't expect y/n.
"Steve."
When y/n whispered his name, the captain rushed up to him and hugged him with desperation.
The younger man was shocked.
But with a little time, he relaxed into the hug.
"Where were you? I was so scared." Steve questioned as he pulled back to look at y/n's face.
"I... Honestly, I don't know..." The younger man sighed.
The older man cupped y/n's face and pulled him closer.
Their lips met in a soft kiss.
Steve's lips were slightly trembling with relief.
His hands wrap around the younger man's hips.
"Please don't disappear on me like that again." He whispered.
Y/n gave a soft nod before he kissed the captain again.
They stumbled their way to the bedroom.
It's safe to say that tonight, y/n didn't think about anything but the man with him.
"Why'd you do that?"
Y/n took a deep breath.
He leaned his head back so the water could cover his face.
It's been so long since he's been in a bathtub.
Steve said he'd join him, but first he wanted to order some food.
"I thought we were grieving."
"There is no we. And I wasn't grieving. Why should I?" Y/n muttered.
"I guess grief is a wrong word." The voice stated.
They both fell silent again.
Y/n's eyes were closed.
"Maybe denial is more accurate."
"Seriously? Why should I be in denial? Because Jennifer will survive? Am I supposed to not want her to survive?" The man complained.
"Yes, that's exactly why you're in denial. You don't want her to survive." The voice stated matter-of-factly.
The man groaned as he dipped fully under the water.
What he doesn't notice is that Steve is behind the door listening to everything.
"He said what?" Bruce was stunned.
Was Steve messing with them?
"Are you sure you heard him say that?" Wanda seemed sad. She knows y/n wasn't in a good state when he found Thor and Jennifer, but he'd never be like this. Right?
"Y/n couldn't hurt a fly. Why should we worry about him?" Tony is visibly annoyed.
"Hey, he saved your ass more times than you can count. You'd better watch your mouth."
Thor's snap at the shorter man caused everyone to shut up in surprise.
"...Why are you defending him? He's basically threatening your fiancée." Tony argued and walked closer to the god.
"Isn't that why you turned us against him?" Natasha's words made the god look at her with blank eyes.
"If you were my friend, you wouldn't have turned against me in the first place."
Everyone froze in their spot.
Head by head, everyone turned towards the entrance.
Y/n stood there. Face blank. Eyes lided and dark.
"Y/n!" Wanda's voice was filled with relief.
She made her way towards the man in the doorway and hugged him.
"Where were you?" She whispered as he relished the hug.
When she didn't receive an answer, she pulled away.
She can hear his mind loud and clear without even trying.
As she stepped aside to let him walk into the room, she caught a glimpse of the voice in his head.
Her breath hitches.
"Y/n-" "Don't." The man interrupted the widow immediately.
The room fell silent.
Y/n's eyes scanned the room.
Jennifer isn't here. Which means she's still in a coma.
Seems like her healing factor doesn't want her to wake up either.
"Wait. What do you mean by turning us against Y/n?" Clint asked as if he had just heard what Natasha said.
"Thor and Jennifer lied to us." She explained.
Multiple whats were shared in the room.
Especially from Bruce.
"No, Jennifer would never lie." He argued.
"She did," Y/n stated with a cold tone.
"Because y/n is not the one who cheated." Natasha's words surprised even y/n.
"What do you mean he's not the one who cheated?" Clint questioned.
"It's because Thor is the one who cheated. Jennifer was the other woman. Maybe she didn't want you to know that she's the home breaker." Y/n spat.
"I don't believe you." Bruce stammered.
"You don't believe me? So what? You need proof?" Y/n scoffed.
"Like you have any." Thor laughed.
"Oh yeah?" Y/n smirked, and suddenly the monitor in the room started playing.
Everyone in the room faces the screen.
It's security footage in what used to be y/n's and Thor's bedroom.
The god's face goes pale as he realizes the footage is at an angle that catches everything.
"Turn it off." He said with panic.
Bruce looked at him with knitted brows.
He looked back at the footage, no longer sure if Y/n is lying after Thor reacted like that.
The room is silent.
The only sound is coming from the footage.
Distant laughter and stomping were the first sounds that came.
Soon, the bedroom door opened and in walked Jennifer in her She-Hulk form, carrying Thor like a princess.
"What!" Tony laughed.
Steve covered his mouth to hide his own chuckle.
The god's face grew red in embarrassment.
The footage only progressed further.
Thor did some what should've been sexy dancing, but he can not control those hips for the life of him.
Some ridiculous words were shared before y/n stopped the footage.
"Why'd you stop?" Tony asked as he tried to hold his laughter.
"Do you want to see them go at it?" Y/n asked as he skipped through the footage.
Tony immediately lost his need for laughter and cleared his throat instead.
Y/n stopped the footage where he walked on them having sex.
Bruce had to look away.
Then it showed the footage where Thor slipped as he ran after y/n.
That's where the footage stopped.
Everyone then turned and looked between Thor and y/n.
Everyone's faces held guilt.
Without another word, y/n turned around and left.
No one tried to stop him.
Only Steve and Wanda followed him out.
The three of them walk down the hallway and towards the bar.
Not a word was shared.
Only a drink.
They sat in silence.
For a long time.
Until Natasha walked in.
She stood in the doorway for a while.
Once she decided, she walked towards the bar and stood behind it.
She refilled everyone's drink and poured herself as well.
She didn't speak.
She didn't dare.
She only offered him another pour.
And then another. And another. And another.
And another man joined the game.
Game?
Y/n looked around.
His mind is spinning, and his vision is blurry.
He's standing in front of a wall with Thor's picture in the middle.
"Shoot already!" Was it Wanda who yelled?
The man focused on the picture in front of him again.
He's holding a dart.
There are two already around the picture.
With a squint of his eyes, he throws the dart and hits the image's forehead.
"Bullseye!" Clint cheered.
The rest of the team cheered as well and took shots.
"You're up, Steve." The archer challenged.
Y/n looked around the spinning room to find a place to sit.
"What are you doing?"
Y/n looked around.
"What?" He hiccuped.
"Why are you drinking?"
"What do you mean, why am I drinking?" Y/n huffed.
"Who are you talking to?" Wanda's words brought y/n back to reality.
That's when he realised he was talking to the voice.
"Oh, you know... Myself." He mumbled.
She knew he was lying, but didn't push him.
Then it got quiet for him again.
"Y/n."
The man grumbled.
"Y/n."
The man grunts and turns over.
"Y/n!"
Y/n jumps awake and sits up.
His eyes are wide as he looks around.
He's in a bed.
In his bed in the tower.
With a soft groan, he rubs his face.
"Get up."
"I just woke up..." Y/n's voice is quiet and hoarse.
His head hurts like a bitch from all the alcohol.
"Get up."
His body moved on its own. Only his head was one step behind.
He let out an annoyed groan.
But he let it happen.
That's how he found himself in Jennifer's medbay room.
He's just blankly staring at her as he stands at the foot of her bed.
Thor is sleeping on a couch that's in the room.
Nothing but the sound of her vitals fills the room.
"Look at her. One tug on that tube and she'd be gone."
Y/n huffed and tried his best to ignore the voice.
"You know, when I first got in your head, all I could feel was pain. You wanted to hurt Thor and Jennifer so bad, and now you don't even know who's in control of your own body."
"And whose fault is that?" Y/n scoffed.
At the sound of his voice, Jennifer's heartbeat went faster.
"See? She's scared of you even in her sleep. Isn't that what you wanted?"
Y/n stayed silent.
He continued to watch her.
Her sleeping body.
This is hurting Thor.
So what else could he want, right?
"Oh... You just want him to hurt."
Y/n stayed silent.
"But she turned your friends against you."
"No, she didn't. Steve and Wanda were still by my side." He whispered.
"But what about the others?"
"They're not my friends. Friends don't turn their backs on you."
Jennifer's frantic heartbeat starts to slow.
The man watched her eyes flutter open.
They soon widen in panic when they land on Y/n, standing in the dimly lit room.
Her breathing got faster, and so did her heartbeat again.
"Everyone knows the truth now," Y/n stated.
He doesn't care if she's disoriented.
He doesn't care that she can't even see him properly.
He knows she can recognise his voice. And he won't sweet-talk it.
"They know you lied."
He walked closer to the bed.
"Thor canceled the wedding. He wasn't too sure you'd wake up in time."
His eyes trailed over her face and towards the monitors.
Jennifer's eyes hold fear and unshed tears.
"You are not winning this fight." He said as he leaned closer.
"I don't care that you turned my friends against me, but I will not stand for your lies and spreading rumours."
The monitor beeps louder with speed.
"I don't know what I ever did to you. But putting the blame on me for breaking up with Thor is a low blow."
The god who was still sleeping on the couch started to stir.
Jennifer looked at him with desperation.
But when she looked back. Y/n was already gone.
Thor sat up and looked at his fiancée.
"Love!" He gasped when he saw her awake.
He immediately got to her side.
When he saw the distress in her eyes, he looked around.
"It's okay. You're safe." He comforted her.
She couldn't find her voice. Her body was still so tired.
