seeing warlock depicted like this (with literal dreadlocks. Robot blackcoding strikes again) really made me understand why he was okay with being just a glorified bionic arm for the remainder of the krakoa era despite being a whole person with interiority and a life outside of his boyfriend. He has roberto da costa syndrome of black dude pining for his blonde childhood bff in an unhealthy amount. they're all the same in the new mutants
Was listening to "Open Arms" from the Epic Concept Album and it got me thinking...
There is a real noticeable lack of Warlock in the new Age of Revelation comics which considering the close bond Doug and Warlock have...
What if Warlock was like Doug's narrative moral compass? Preventing Doug from being the worse version of himself, until something bad happens to Warlock. Doug, without his metaphorical moral compass would then start spiralling downwards, becoming the dictator he is during the Age of Revelation.
Warlock from Marvel? (The robot not when they fuse with human)
Techno-organic alien, friendly but feeds on the life force of others to survive. Can turn into armor to protect his friends, even able to bond with certain hosts, though potentially permanently bond by infecting them with a virus
