Is this intentional Aragorn imagery? Are they trying to remind me of administering athelas in the Houses of Healing? Or am I reading way too much into the basin and cloths?
I know the whole "hands of the king are the hands of a healer" came into LotR through the same medieval tradition that Martellus and the Foglios have already riffed on in-comic with the Touch of the King; but that was a perversion of the idea, whereas this is (or seems to be) invoking it straight.
