As the marshmallow test shows in the video it is as emotional test.They are to wait 10 minutes in order to receive another marshmallow. As with economics you are to put your emotions aside and see the bigger outcome of profit. You must look at the bigger picture of all the different variables that will cause an outcome not wanted and or wanted. In the marshmallow test when the children eat the marshmallow given they do not get another. This shows that by both emotion as well as impulse it can lead to a decision that may have not been the right one. Same with economics and all that come with it stocks, bonds, investments when you are driven off of emotions and impulse your outcome will not be what you want it to be, profitable, if all investors went off of emotional impulses there would be no profit in this field.
