Logan Marshall-Green as Pete Calvin Marshals - Zone of Death (1.02)
Voice in The Ether
EMPATHY [Formidable - Success] - A soft rustling rides along the calm metal of her voice in the carrier wave. She's fidgeting with her hair like she does when she's nervous.
Though wire-based communications are still dominant, these systems are steadily being phased out in favor of wireless arrays, with devices such as the ubiquitous radiotype and radiophone. The Federal Marshals maintain one such array, and Comms Officer Yvonne Mosley (née Berthier) is its operator.
Marshals: A Yellowstone Story Zone of Death (1.02)
You’re Kayce’s world and when anything happens to you he doesn’t care who he has to go through to get to you. So when you get kidnapped in the middle of the night leaving the bar and dropped off at the Marshals building beaten and bloody waiting for the first person to arrive before finally closing your eyes letting the weak feeling take over.
Lucky for you the first person to arrive is Andrea who was looking to get an early work out in. She sees you slumped against the building sitting in your own pool of blood. Panic fills her body as she rushes towards you to fully assess your state. After fully checking you she calls an ambulance and then Kayce.
He’s just waking up when he gets the call, but even in his groggy state as soon as he hears “y/n” and “hurt” he’s instantly up throwing on whatever clothes are laying around. Tate can hear his fathers cursing and chaos coming from his room but before he could even walk over to knock Kayce is yanking his door open running down the hall towards the stairs shouting at Tate what happened and to lock the doors.
Kayce arrives at the hospital just as you do with Andrea. She’s covered in your blood after her assessment of your wounds and slightly shaking. You on the other hand look lifeless on the gurney the only thing that is reassuring to Kayce that you are alive is the fact you are breathing on your own.
After that it’s hours before he sees you again, he was told you needed surgery and that it would be a good while until he could see you. Anxiety is eating away at his bones making him pace back and forth waiting on the news from the doctor. When it finally does arrive he’s told you have 4 broken ribs, bruising all up and down your body as well as a couple deep stab wounds that were patched up. Before the doctor even gets out that he can see you Kayce is walking straight through your rooms door. There on the bed he sees you sleeping, but he hates the machine that is attached to you as if it’s reminding him exactly of what happened why your attached to it.
The rest of the team come a little bit later to check on you, and when they do Kayce is already making a plan to get the assholes who did this to you.
He doesn’t want to do it the lawful way. They don’t even disagree. Arresting them and letting them rot in prison isn’t enough for him, he wants them 6 feet under with and bullet in them.
It’s 2 days later when Kayce leaves your side, Cal called and informed him that they found the guys who did it about a mile out of town. Belle shows up to watch after you for him promising to call if anything happens while he’s gone.
Meeting up with the rest of the team they drive up towards the last known place that the deadmen walking were last known to be. Kayce doesn’t even care about strategy even though they’re all telling him the need to be careful. Anxiously waiting once everyone knows where they’re going Kayce is off, taking each person he sees out not feeling any remorse.
They hurt his girl and he will be dammed if they get to breath the same air as you again.
All he can think about is taking care of them for good and getting back to you.

Riley Green, Marshals 1x08 (2026)
✦ ⋆ 𖤓 ⋆ ✦ 𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐎𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐄 ··· a collection of ranch devotion, inherited legacy, the wild west, lovers divided by blood-soaked land and the lives built on it. genre: romance, angst, hurt and comfort, western drama.
The land doesn't lie. People do.
I've been riding this fence line since I was seven years old. Don't tell me I don't belong here.
You want to sell it. I want to die on it. I don't think we're gonna see eye to eye.
Come back inside. The cold doesn't care how angry you are.
I didn't ask to be born into this. But I'm not walking away from it either.
This ranch has buried better people than you and it'll bury better people than me.
Don't make me choose between you and this land. You won't like what I choose.
I found your horse at the gate this morning. Where the hell have you been?
The boots on your feet were my grandfather's. Remember that when you're making decisions about his land.
I'm not asking you to understand it. I'm asking you to respect it.
There's a storm coming in from the north. You staying or going?
You've been standing at that fence for an hour. Whatever it is, just say it.
I know what it looks like. But there are things about this family you don't know yet.
If I kiss you now, I’m not sure I’ll have the good sense to stop.
Sit down. Eat something. Whatever war you're fighting can wait until morning.
You’re the prettiest trouble this ranch has ever seen.
The cattle don't care about your feelings. Neither does the weather. Get up.
You want loyalty? Earn it. Out here it doesn't come free.
The fire took the east barn. We don't have time to grieve it.
You left when it was easy to leave. Don't come back now that it's hard to stay away.
Nobody out here is innocent. We're just honest about what we've done.
You’re softer than you let on. Lucky for you, I’m real fond of soft things.”
The river doesn't run through your property. It runs through mine. That matters.
You make the hard days worth coming home from.
Ever seen a sunrise over open land like this? No? Then you don't know what you're fighting for.
You make this old place feel less lonely.
This brand means something. It means we protect our own.
You can't buy what this land means to us. You can only take it.
You want to talk about legacy? My great-grandmother broke this ground with her bare hands.
I'm not leaving. You can threaten everything I have and I'm still not leaving.
Come here. You're shaking.
The foreman found the body at the south pasture.
You were supposed to be gone by now. Why aren't you gone?
I've loved this land longer than I've loved anything living. That's not something I'm ashamed of.
Dance with me. Don’t matter if there’s no music.
Stay. Just through the winter. After that, if you still want to go, I won't stop you.
