my entire internet identity was ripped from david bowie songs. my username on most platforms is from the song Moonage Daydream and i go by mars online because my display name used to be thelifeonmars based on the david bowie song Life On Mars?

EEEEEEEEEE AAAAAA OMGOMGOMGGGGG YAYYYYY I GET TO TALK ABOUT ONE OF MY LITERAL FAAAAVESSSSS

M-1013 (real name: Mars) is a cyborg/modified human from the Alsetech work colony TOI-3757B. They lost their left arm in a horrible workplace accident as a kid, but received a cybernetic replacement in lieu of worker's comp. When they grew up, they unintentionally became the leader of a cyborg rebellion with the goal of overthrowing the intergalactic tech companies that have been exploiting poor planets in their galaxy. They were arrested by the Galactic Federation, but recently escaped from prison planet HR-8779B and are currently on the run from the authorities.

When they're introduced in the story, Star saves their life and agrees to help them get back to their home planet, where they'll reunite with the rebel forces and reconvene on next plans. However, Star finds herself at odds with them due to the stark differences in their personalities and morals. But you know what they say, opposites attract and all that :) they have a bit of an enemies to lovers thing going on!

They have a pretty strong personality. They're confident, a huge flirt, and enjoy teasing/bullying other people. They've never been one to follow the rules or respect authority and just kinda do whatever the hell they want. They're also kind of a fuckboy and have left behind a string of broken hearted women. But hidden behind the cocky facade is a deep insecurity over their looks and the desire to appear "strong". They've got a big secret they're hiding, but I don't want to get beat up, so I shan't be saying anything more on that!

As for their gender, I didn't really want to specify their identity in order to allow readers to relate to them in their own way. Their preferred pronouns are they/them, but they don't mind she/her. When people use he/him Mars often gets gender euphoria cuz they love when people assume they're a guy 🥰 they could be transmasc, genderfluid, or GNC, its really up for readers to decide for themselves. However they are most definitely NOT into men sexually or romantically. If they were using earth terms, they'd most likely identify as a lesbian.

Ages are weird in space, different planets have their own measurement of time depending on the orbital period and time dilation. But in earth years Mars would be around their late 20s/early to mid 30s.
